  1. Sit tight, it will pass. Sounds like your getting it quite rough. Not much support am I? The wind fears me too. I'm watching old episodes of Time Team with my headphones in and the volume turned up, as well as checking this thread, it's a good distraction not hearing all the gusts.
  2. After a relatively dry and mild day it's tipping down currently, winds at the moment feel just like a windy, gusty night, I hope I've not cursed it. Rostherne max at 12.6°C today, pretty mild.
  3. Yes a good event here. Amber warning given for rain. In the evening temps fell, rain turned to sleet then snow. Had about 5cms here by 11pm.
  4. Good Morning. Mild at 7.8°C, wet on the ground, no evidence at all now of any snowfall. Grey and overcast. It's calm here, I think the winds start to pep up around 12pm ish. Some parts of the region will definitely feel it. Roof recently done, I hope the chimney stays in one piece and on the roof.
  5. Thanks moochops, I'm not the brightest flash in a storm, it confused me there.
  6. I read it as just a rain warning for Cheshire, my area too. I'm easily confused, or is it not clear.
  7. UkV is suggesting gusts for my neck of the woods tomorrow night 58mph to 69mph, yet I can only see a yellow warning for rain for my area. Winds that strong are damaging, wonder if meto will eventually broaden their wind warning.
  8. Rain here but has intermittent touches of sleet in it. 4.2°C and the odd blow of the wind. Looks to be having a bit of a dusting on the A537 Cat Cam.
  9. Yes, snow fell east of Macc early hours 10th March, chaos over the tops Buxton, Sheffield due to drifting. Macc had very little, the sun melted it later that day.
  10. Snow patches defiantly clinging on here. Cling ons. Clear sky and temp 3.2°C (8pm). Not looking forward to the weekend weather, it's the wind, wind is my least favourite, it fears me when it's really gusty.
  11. Watched last night's snow showers brush west of Macc, no top up here, just a smidgen too far East for them. Still got a considerable amount of residual snow lying about in places, and on roofs. Minus 1.8°C currently, slippery and frosty out. Birds got more food again today, fresh unfrozen water and an extra fat ball. Bit overcast.
  12. App on tablet here, just flashed up snow showers at 20.30. Glad a few have had a covering so far.
  13. -1°C, at Cheadle A34, there's abit of traffic about Clear skies above.
  14. Thanks Rain Lady, been a day of tests and a post operative check up, all is healing well. Next step radiotherapy whenever that will commence. I'm on my way home now. Onwards and upwards.
  15. I want a bit more snow, I hope to be home before it starts though. Lots of waiting round today and various tests prior to radiotherapy treatment, looks like I'll be a little while yet. The radar is my window.
  16. Currently 2°C, reporting from Manchester Royal. Been shunted to various rooms without windows, so loving all the pics. Cannot see if any cloud is building.
  17. Currently -7°C Macc, ground/ soil is frozen solid, I've put extra out for the birds. Their bowl was frozen to the table, so they have second bowl of water today. Stunning sunshine, I love the early orange glow it makes even the most ugliest building look like pretty Cotswold honey coloured stone.
  18. I know automated forecasts are to be taken lightly, but my tablet app is now showing snow for later, one eye will be on the radar.
