tricol I'm a stones throw away, had a bit of rain 1.15pm, been dry since. Sat on the edge of this activity, can see your dark clouds to my south.

Chris.R Yes, thanks, I had a delay on blitz for some reason. Heard 4 rumbles, edge of cell came into view, structure quickly fragmented.

Distant rumble heard from somewhere, no evidence of a strike on charts, edit.....radio is picking up something now. Ominous cell nearby at Alderley Edge. Was dry here till 1.15pm.
Definite thunder heard again.

It's DRY for now. Blue sky earlier with tangerine coloured clouds. 7°C and those strong gusts have abated.

Chris.R sorry to read that Chris, hopefully it will be salvageable. These gusts aren't half packing a punch still, some blue sky and fantastic cloud scapes but this wind is not letting up.

Out earlier into town, got caught in 2 hail showers, the wind slamming it into my face, it was freezing. Definite winter feel than spring.

Really mad winds, squall passing over, I bet this has shaken a few from their slumbers. Been waiting to open my back door to get out and feed the birds. Ooh the wind.

Dry, pleasant start, overcast by 7.45am. Temp 5°C. Not going to last though, rain forecast later.
Last decent prolonged spell was just 4 days long, 3rd to 6th March, where Rostherne recorded 0mm rain for 4 consecutive days.

alr1970 yes, Alex Burkhill mentioned HP becoming more dominant by Thursday, leading to hopefully next weekend being dry . Next week feeling cooler though.

iand61 yes, I have friends with allotments, they cannot dig or turn the top soil which appears dry enough, just an inch down is water. One has managed to put beans in, but in raised troughs. Farming must be suffering immensely.

severe snowstorm yes, horrid here, another heavy shower as I type, feels quite cold too today. Quite a contrast to Rosthernes' max for the month so far on Thursday of 18.6°C, then snow showers perhaps on Monday, such extremes.

Scorcher yes bizarre, I could literally see the showers all around, been tipping down for the last 15mins or so.
