The thunderstorm warning on my phone is about to run out, 9pm, my stomach rumbled that's that then. Glad though at not having the rain Leeds and Bradford areas have had, caused quite some disruption on road and rail.

Morning all. Under a cloud inversion here, tis a bit foggy, but it's lovely and clear up the road on the Cat. Very still and calm, grey and 10.5°C.
Glad some of you have managed a BBQ, lovely to see lots of folks sat outside enjoying a drink or two in Prestbury yesterday. Automatic app on phone has showers here by 10am.

A Face like Thunder I was just looking at the chance of something thundery for parts of the region tomorrow. Could be worth a watch, there's enough CAPE about.

Morning. Tis a bit grim, dark, misty and damp. Lots of snails around the garden this morning. 8.6°C, I've got the heating on for a quick blast. I'm buying a tent today, for when I'm out on long hikes, there, that's jinxed our summer now. 🏕

Rain not stopped since it started. Didn't seem to get properly light, like a grey February day, temp did reach 13° C. Talk of a frost for down the south east this weekend, can't help thinking perhaps I should have refrained from putting my bedding plants in just yet.

Brilliant. @Jamie M Thanks for starting the 2024 thread. Not long now until I'm in the bedroom window like a meerkat scouring the northern skies. 2023 was dire, too many nights clouded out.

Dangerous55019 Yes milky skies here too, Had signs of instability to my SW. Its all about where the boundary is, where this cooler air coming up from the SW is going to meet the warm air we have been enjoying today, could be enough to trigger the fireworks.

Dangerous55019 yes a big hello to you @Dangerous55019 We may see something, there is some CAPE this pm around the Wales/Cheshire and Dee estuary areas (UKV). I'm giving myself whiplash already by constantly looking up for instability.

Dangerous55019 Yes, I've had a heads up on my phone app. Will be radar and sky watching, I fear I'm too far North though, see what happens.

Morning. Clear at low levels today but foggy a bit higher up. 12°C 7.14am, grey and dry. Risk of a shower but temps could reach 19°C again. Macc max yesterday 17.1°C not bad considering was under cloud all day.
