  1. Clear skies earlier, but now overcast, hills to the east have remained misty all morning, ( Buxton direction).  Garden thermometer nudging 18° and dew point 14.3 and rising, noticed Estofex have issued a forecast today, sorry can't do the link, have tried but tablet keeps saying my files are too big?  I'm off work this week, so will be sky and radar watching today, we'll see what happens.

So, for tonight we are looking at the 1 o'clock position, and because they are not 'branched out' chances for a view from the uk are somewhat reduced or in fact very slim?   Please correct me if I'm wrong, I really want to get my head around this, thank you for your patience.

yesterday storm was 20 miles too far west...today there was a storm over Shopshire just to west of us, now there is a storm over Derbyshire just to east of us..how do we always manage to miss them, always just too far west or east of my location..very annoying.

The cell is on my west now, dark skies, no precipitation from the edge of it, was hoping for some action a bit closer to home too, there's still time yet.

Well that was a nice starter. Still producing occasional lightning over the sea and now I can hear rumbles I think from another cell. Stayed far enough away so that it didn’t rain which was good. Sun is coming back out again now.

Glad you're experiencing some, as anything that may pass west of me looks like it will shoot out west before hitting the Wirral.

good insolation here for awhile. 21.2°C. DP 14.8

Same here garden shade temp at 21° too.  Feeling much warmer than yesterday, cloud growth greater in height too.  Similar pattern to yesterday, storms developing south/south west of Macc, at the moment Shropshire,  we will see if they go west of me and straight on to you again.  I would like one a bit closer today though.  I love the anticipation.

Still a few flashes of lightning and rumbles of thunder to the west in South Cheshire when I put my head outside at 10.30pm last night but nothing to disturb my sleep. Stormy looking at 7am this morning and a few drops of rain but nothing more and sun has now come out.

Yes, I drove up to a vantage point, a few minutes from where l live and sat and watched it fade out to sea, a second cell also came up from my west not as intense, but with orange and pink embedded lightning, couldn't hear thunder much too far away, this cell took the same path as the first and went out north west somewhere over the Wirral. Both cells were still popping when l called it a night about 12,15am. 100% cloud coverage here at the moment, grey, and feeling a little cooler.

    NLC`   Now  NE  high altitude

I woke up briefly about 2.45am, had a look out my bedroom window and saw a small glimpse of what l thought were NLCs, my view is obscured by buildings, so I only have a small patch of sky with northerly views. Tempted as l was to jump in the car to go to my vantage point, I didn't as my alarm goes off at 5.45 for work.  I have managed to book next week off, so I'm hoping for a chance to catch  a morning show then.  I just wish my house was that few feet taller.
