Cars coming into town with a few centimetres of snow on them. Reminds me of the Bullseye tv programme, ' live a few feet further up, and look at what you could have had'.

Evidence of a snow shower here, dusting on fence, shed car and roof tops, but its disappearing fast. Had rain all through the night, so fortunate to have had this. Drizzle now.

Yay of all yays, its snowed imby. Just enough to stomp about and leave slushy footprints. It is melting fast though, theres about 1cm on car rooves a little bit more on the shed. Temp reading 1°. There will just be wet pavements by the time I walk to work in 20 mins, but it's there, I've seen it, I've stomped in it before the cats did, I'm as happy as a snow leopard!

Snow on the Winking Man web cam, Leek to Buxton road. Just watched a car crawling along it, looks a bit treacherous, has it been gritted?

Pethaps it might not be a bad thing if things dry out for a few hours to dry the ground out at least.
Not much chance of that, looking at the radar there's blue and green shadows popping up continuously. How l long to be underneath a big pink blob.

Actually saw snow fall imby just after 8pm this evening, its only the second time this winter I've personally witnessed it fall, the last time was 14th December, any other time I've managed to glimpse a dusting on the hills before it melts. Its been sleeting, hailing, and raining on and off since. Temp currently 1.5°. Got my bedroom curtains open so l can lamp post watch from my bed.

Just had a very brief bit of hailstone, if l hadn't been net curtain twitching at the time I would have missed it.

Gusty heavy rain at the moment, I think Macc is a little too far south, however I may see some snow on the hills. Not going to be a pleasant walk to work in a minute. Pleased for those who get to see a decent snow fall.

Just driving home from mums when the hail shower came, oof it spooked me. Didn't notice any lightning.

Just had a couple.of decent gusts, heard noise outside, ornamental owl blown off the fence and Christmas tree in its metal pot blown over, the lights just flickered too.

Not much of a storm down here at the moment.

Don’t think this one is going to be as bad as Ciara regarding wind it’s more the amount of rain that’s coming
Just had a look at METAR TAF, Manchester, the highest forecast gusts for today is 55mph at 6pm, as it currently stands,I agree not as gusty as Ciara. Just rain, rain and more rain.

On the edge of the squall now, gone dark, house lights flickering, view of the hills invisible. Aircraft still flying over, hats off to all the pilots. (Pardon the pun).

Wouldn't like to be at the summit of the Great Orme in this
Supposed to be going to Llandudno today, daughter and I going later this pm, but that's not before we've assessed conditions at the time of travelling, may leave it till nearer tea time.

Got the wind picking up here in Cheshire, NW England, but nothing out of the ordinary yet, noticed that the rain for you has become more of an issue. Apart from a couple of showers earlier there has been no significant rainfall here yet. Will continue to track your thread.

Been able to hear the wind for the last 10 mins or so. Just dipped into the Ireland thread, it seems the rain has become more of a concern than the wind at the moment.

Getting gusty but not too bad yet. Looks like the real fun & games begin during the early hours onwards.

I suppose if you live in the high risk flood areas, with the risk of more prolonged further flooding and flood defences being over topped you wouldn't give a flying fridge magnet that it has a name.
