  1. Busses........ there's ALWAYS someone coughing up a lung on a bus.....
  2. Still haven't had chance to re-tack the roof lining back on top of the shed that tore off (thankyou Ciara...) Still too gusty to do it safely ><
  3. Man Flu is now a reality Seriously though, I noticed this right from the start within a few days of reports when there was only 54 deaths, it was reported that only 8 were women (shortly after they stopped reporting on exactly how many men to women had died and just gave an overall death figure which just seemed really weird to me). People kept putting it down to the 'fact' that more men would have been exposed at the start as they worked in the area it came from. Thing is, it was a market and whilst it is likely that more men work the stores, it's mostly women that do the shopping for food so the exposure should have been roughly equal right from the get go.
  4. The video of the kids isn't related to coronavirus/Corvid-19, did some twitterdigging followed it back to it's source. Apparently he was trying to highlight the fact that they are running out of bodybags and are having to put multiple bodies into them.
  5. Because it's become 'normalized' for males to spit all over the floor due to it constantly being shown on TV via football matches/rugby/various other male sporting events etc When anyone points out how disgusting sportsmen are when they do this I always reply that it's to help them slide better
  6. Really big thick fluffy looking flakes now I have a love/hate relationship with snow, it looks awesome and brings out the 'kid' in me but at the same time I hate going out in it, especially as I have to rely on busses and you generally only find out about them being cancled by them not turning up after freezing partially to death at a bus stop
  7. Just poked my finger into the snow on the car roof, and it's at least an inch but it did start sticking to the cars almost from when it started, and it's about 1 1/2 cm on the pavements/roads right now.
  8. Well and truly sticking now where I live, including the roads, radar still shows it as sleet though???? Strange looking sleet ;D
  9. Whelp that doesn't look good. Watching the Porthcawl stream, police turned up and cleared everyone off of the wall and away from it. Then a couple mins later a helicopter (police/coastguard?) started buzzing back and forth with it's spotlights on searching in the water :s
  10. I can see another band of dark cloud on the horizon approaching from the NE. Looking at the radar looks like another smaller squall line is trying to start up...
  11. Suns out, blue skies overhead with the clouds clearing out and down to just a bit of a breeze, amazing contrast to just 30 mins ago o_O
  12. Whelp It's getting dark here (squall inc), hopefully the rest of my shed roof covering isn't going to rip off ;_;
  13. My Shed!!!!!!! And the squall line hasn't even reached me yet! Can't even go out and fix it, I'll get knocked flat on my backside with the wind
  14. There's a wind gust showing on the live weather chart of 92mph! at Great Dun Fell 2 o_O
  15. Personally I like the noise, not that of the wind blowing around you and objects banging about, but the deep bass, continuous, almost screaming, roaring howl coming from the atmosphere high above you. Always gives me goosebumps
  16. 1047.75 and it's like a Pea Soup-er outside but less smelly XD (can see about 3 semi's distance up and down the street, and the 3rd ones only by the window glow )
  17. There's one near to me at Brown Edge that's showing 1065.02 Think that ones a bit dodgy
  18. Closest Wunderground one to me is at Milton a few miles away, pressure actually dropped a tiny bit between 12ish and 1:30ish but now steadily back on the rise, 1,046.73 at the moment.
  19. Very Thick fog outside, can only just make out the houses 3 rows downhill. Had a bit of week sun in the morning, but the frost was lingering in the back (southern facing) garden till well over 1pm. Won't be surprised if this sticks around and freezes tonight.
  20. The Squall Lines just hitting where I live now, absolutely insane horizontal rain, and I can feel the house shaking from the impact of the wind EDIT: Whelp, that was interesting, rain was moving horizontal right -> left in-front of the lamp post, then there was a roar and it reversed directions for about 10/15 seconds or so, and now it's calmed down (for a given value of calm ) and gone back to right -> left. Saw a bin getting blown up the road during it too xD xD
  21. Nothing like a good piece of comedy to cheer people up xD ;D
  22. Constant nonstop drizzle for 2 days straight now (urgh...) As my Grandad used to say, "it's the type of rain that wet's you to the bones" (just with less potter's dialect ) Hope it clears up for New years *crosses fingers
  23. Just nipped outside take the rubbish out (freekin' freezin'), really large wet flakes mixed in now, good 1 1/2 - 2cm clumps size wise.
