    Well the sun has been trying to break through since midday, but so far has only been able to a couple of times! Very warm and muggy out there, more than yesterday i think. Come on storms! I'm going to a party later dressed as a vicar...so if it doesn't thunder i'm going to get God to smite everything! lol

    Had one very close thunderstorm yesterday...that's about it. Has been raining quite a bit though! Are the storms for the Midlands still on for today? We shall see. I want one over me today please not in the near distance, i'm short sighted lol

    Ironically i think the storm actually went round Brownhills...so close...but yet so far. Looked brill though!

    to be honest, pounded is not really the word i would use to describe the storm i just saw, always in the distance.

    Is it me or did thunderstorms used to last longer than they do now? Does anyone know why? Some storms in the 90's used to last hours...these days you are lucky if they last half an hour!

    Gone quite dull here in Brownhills, grey over towards Bloxwich and Willenhall, wind has picked up a little bit too. I do love weather like this, will it? Wont it?

    Been a warm muggy day here so far, overcast (but that bright kind of overcast) no rain from what i have seen of the day, been up since 6am. I'm thinking about putting some washing out just because of how warm it is.

    That is brilliant stuff! So weird to think i was watching the same storm from NE Walsall. It was huge! Watched it roll in just like that!

    Not had anything but rain despite the convective cloud! Has been thundering in Lichfield which is 5 miles ENE! Same as summer!

    Started brightening up! Apparently there was lightning in Walsall Wood two miles away, hmmm missed me again maybe? Besides the rain there was nothing major!

    Distant rumble of thunder heard. Quite dull has began to rain!

    Had a lot of rain today but no storms, not even in the distance! Am slap bang in the middle of the rotating weather system, rain today shows no rain in the area so im not holding out for anything now. Another missed opportunity

    Beautiful cloud formations, n a dark expanse of lovely grey cloud to my W/NW, baige in colour, looks like dirty smoke!
