The light, but continuous rain has continued into the late evening, this will soak into the ground better than heavy passing showers that just run off the surface after dry weather, quite refreshing out, although i only went as far as to put the bin out ,

Yep Mike, had a proper soaking from 4.45pm, steady heavy rain right through teatime, it's still drizzling now, really needed and most welcome!

Well we've had a good drop of rain and thankfully the hosepipe can stay in the shed tonight, also there is a noticable breeze out there but it is still warm even at 22.30, a mild night ahead!

A good soaking here on the Wolds late afternoon and over teatime, very welcome although no where near enough in the grand scheme, it was most refreshing non the less!

A mostly lovely sunny day on the Wolds, temps in the low 20's, clouded over late afternoon with the radar threatening rain but nothing more than a couple of 'spots' and although the cloud remained it is still mild enough to be sat outside in a t-shirt,

Pleasantly warm this morning with bright sunshine & blue sky's, although interspersed with the odd cloud it is a cracking start to the day!

An hour ago we had this weird wet anomaly fall from the gods, my ancestors spoke of this phenomenon, 'rain' it was named! Anyway it 'slecked' the dust, as we say round our part of the Wolds!

2012 for me, even the 'Yorkshire' show was cancelled due to wet conditions, a truly awful spring into summer period!

19.5°c now on the patio, such a contrast to yesterday, mad to think what 24hrs ago was like! Got a lovely cool breeze and my cottage is nice and cool inside, hopefully a good nights sleep ahead

Finally a breeze has arrived, just gone to bed and we have fresh coolish air blowing through the bedroom windows! #sleep

Winter barley being harvested now round here and Rape, still a lot of greenery in the tram lines with later sown crops, wheat not fit yet but getting close! -

Totally! i have been on NW from first thing this morning (took day off ) right through the day, it has made for some fascinating reading from all the NW contributers all over the country! Although today was too hot for me outside personally, i just took solace in here! Oh and well done Mods for keeping things rolling on what must have been a busy day, -
