  1. Been another pleasant warm day, on and off sunshine up till 4pm, then clouded over for a couple of hours although still warm, sun's back out now making for lovely evening,
  2. Very pleasant warm day today, not to hot, got some sleepers bedded in, in the garden and the area at the front of the Shed levelled ready for concreting, working friday but pub beer garden looks favorite for friday evening!
  3. Lovely and sunny early morning, cloud arrived by 9am accompanied by a stiff breeze that spoilt the day, i was working so meh , by 7pm the sun has come back out and the breeze has died off making for a pleasant evening!

  5. Is that why people now use Haylage for it's higher protein value and digestibility and the process that takes place within Wrapped bales also decreases the sugar content?
  6. With a 'storm' forecast issued this morning on here by NW, and followed by a 'thunderstorm' warning. I wondered, judging by the lack off activity on here this evening, was the storm potential slightly over 'egged' ?? Just asking for a friend
  7. A wet misty, drizzly early morning on the Wolds that cleared by mid morning, a distinct increase in temps and a beefy shower before lunch followed by a mixed afternoon of cloud n sun with a stiff breeze at teatime, quite a mixed bag today!
  8. Didn't get chance to check the temp tbh but this evening is quite pleasant thankfully, seeing as i've spent the last couple of hours on the drive fixing the car, no cider for me
  9. There is a big yellow orb radiating heat that has just appeared in the sky, what is this phenomenon?

The storm that i always remember as a kid was the 9/7/84, the night the York Minster got struck, i cant recall ever hearing thunder that loud, i remember my father coming into our bedroom to check we were ok and to re-assure us everything was ok, (i was petrified of thunder n lightening as a kid) then getting up next morning and watching the scenes from York on breakfast Tv, it maybe statistically doesn't feature that high but it was very memorable for me personally,
  11. Funnily enough i lit my log burner yesterday, only had it ticking over but i had to take the chill off, i shouldn't need to be using it in June!

  13. Oh i totally understand, this past weekend has been absolutely rubbish weather wise for what is supposed to be summer! My 'glib' post was a generalisation after reading the last couple of pages!

  15. Throughly miserable day round these parts today, cool, grey horrible clag this morning followed by rain mid afternoon that has continued into the evening, bloomin chilly as well, total carp!

  21. Yep, lovely evening on the Wolds, nice bit of sunshine to cap the day off and we managed to dodge most of the rain after what was a cloudy morning,
