  1. Fantastic videos Tom! Absolutely bonkers that year.....amazing! The drifts up at Tatsfield were even bigger. I remember after a snowy drive in our land rover defender (not many other vehicles would have made it around) and we ended up at Botley Farmhouse....closed! But, the owner took pity on us and invited us in for drinks and a warm up by the open fire, will never ever forget that year. Oh and there was snow on the ground on Christmas Day, so we have pictures of the reindeer (and Father Christmas) food and drink in the snow on Christmas eve; magical for our two, at the time, little girls. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Hope all is well Tomx
  2. Forth night in a row (as Tom said)....it's been fabulous! Quite heavy rain, lightning and thunder, not particularly close but lovely to hear.
  3. 'upon yonder'....I like that! I see you are in Richmond; it's my wedding anniversary tomorrow and my reception was held in Richmond Upon Thames....happy memories. Hope it's still as lovely as 19 years ago?!
  4. Lovely rumbles in Bromley, smallest amount of rain (enough to smell the petrichor) and a breeze whipping up too.....at last!
  5. I certainly hope so, everything is crying out for some rain. The weather has been beautiful and definitely a summer to remember, but I am looking forward to cooler weather, especially if it brings some good storms!
  6. Must have been very localised (and wish it had lasted longer). We had about 6/7 flashes and 7/8 claps of thunder, not overhead like last night, but nice to hear nevertheless x
  7. WOAHHHHHH....was not expecting that!!!!! Massive lightening and huge crack of thunder!
  8. We had a fantastic display last night here in Biggin Hill.....pink lightening was the best! What's happened this morning though? We've had heavy rain and now so very overcast!! I thought it was going to be sunny.
  9. Does anyone happen to have a weather station near me that recorded the biggest gust in Biggin Hill yesterday. The WeatherHq one was down. Curious
  10. My local bus route. My daughter was on a bus about an hour later, there was no stopping her getting to work. She did have an incident with a tree on her bus, but nothing like this!
  11. Main road out of Biggin hill blocked both ends. Bus has been hit by a falling tree and a van is underneath another large fallen tree. Trampoline still in garden
  12. Gust of 110mph reported at The Needles, Isle of Wight. Eunice is certainly packing a punch here now too!
  13. Just watched the latest BBC forecast. Chris Fawkes said that Storm Eunice has the potential of being the strongest storm in recent decades!!! Certainly one to watch! Stay safe everyone x
  14. These low temps would be great if we had snow on the ground. I miss the snow....even one day would be good right now (not asking for a repeat of 2010.....too late now anyhow).
