  1. It’s snowing here and the wind has really picked up. There is certainly a delay but let’s not throw the towel in yet x
  2. Love it when the forum is so busy. Learning (slowly) how to read the charts....i'll get there. Thanks to all that give us the knowledgeable updates. Few G & T's tonight and hoping for breakfast snow watching, sledging at lunchtime and home, happy for more snow watching at dinner. We'll see x
  3. I find it fascinating to watch the wildlife when there is a change of weather (for the worst in their case). If we didn't have all this technology, we could definitely rely on the animals. Remember to give them a helping hand when they can't quite find the nuts they buried and now that the berries have run out. I have the sledge ready and intend to have a 'winter picnic' if this comes off.....need to make some more, fun, snow memories. Photo's will follow (I hope!)
  4. They have blizzards in New York......I'm sure 'they say' we get snow 7 - 10 days later?? Just wishful thinking I guess. Utterly miserable here; really can't wait for some warmth now. First lockdown was so much better as we could sit outside and enjoy the sunshine, this weather just makes me bored and tired
  5. Looks like it's going to be positively balmy here tomorrow with a top temp of 14?!? If the sun comes out, you'll find me on the patio
  6. Still really very cold here in Biggin Hill, although the wind is perhaps a little warmer. Just started raining, so that will wash away the remnants of the snow.
  7. Hail stones here. Been super busy today, so off to read todays comments. Have a lovely weekend!
  8. Covering in Biggin Hill and still snowing moderately. Enjoy it while it’s here x
  9. It's been much, much colder here today than forecast.....brrrr! Tonight and tomorrow morning look interesting, may well set my alarm so that I can witness, briefly, a winter wonderland, before the rain/thaw/flooding follows! Enjoy any lamp post watching
  10. That footage is incredible.....but the music made me feel like I was watching The Wizard of Oz at times!
  11. Hi there! These photos are absolutely amazing! Stunning; thank you for sharing!
  12. I was a little concerned for the cat! You're right about the school / college snow days!
  13. Thanks Tom! I hope you and yours are well? Yes, Biggin Hill is normally quite lucky (if you like snow!), although, like others it's been a real let down of late! It is crazy how you can have so much snow in a small area and then a couple of miles down the road nothing! I'm just pleased that we have camera's on mobile phones now, as when at work (in Bromley) they have nothing and say 'how can you be snowed in, we have nothing here', I can come back with evidence.....not that it matters at the moment! Love the picture of the Queens Head. Think I may purchase this book. Take care for now. Sarah
  14. Morning all Such a lovely surprise. Would have loved to have stayed up and watched this come in. Anyhow, before it's all gone a few piccies for you. Really hope this is not the first and last xx
  15. Yep, my snow dance worked, finally . About an inch of fluffy snow has greeted me this morning!!
  16. Happy New (hopefully snowy) New Year!! We've loved and we've lost, we've cried and we've laughed....make the most of every minute! Looking forward to getting to know you all more in 2021 and more exciting weather journey's! xxx
  17. The BBC haven't updated their forecast for 6 hours....surely a sign of uncertainty?
