  1. Really hoping for snow. Lovely to see Beds and Herts seeing some :-). Off topic, however, have you see the moon halo tonight (those where it is not snowing or cloudy). Totally amazing x
  2. Loved the snow excitement here this morning, however, did not not last. Had 'wintry' showers all day and now hoping for a little more tonight. Currently very cold and cloudy...we'll see xx
  3. Snow on the school run this morning in Biggin, however, nothing now; just damp and chilly
  4. Wow....totally can't call this. All I know is the gritters have been out, it smells like snow and temps are, or at least were, bouncing around. So nice, at least to have a bit of excitement, although, sad we have lost a lot of our snow geeks
  5. Not too keen on this mild weather really; cloudy and mild here with a strong breeze. Much prefer frosty and cold.....off to do a frost / snow dance
  6. Hi all! Loved yesterday's frost; really hung around here, with shaded areas still icy at 4pm. This morning warmer and dull as expected, however, temps dropping nicely now and skies clearing. A real nip in the air, which is perfect as off to the Panto.....Love Christmas, however, so much better with a bit of the white stuff Next week looks interesting!
  7. Thanks John; love your updates. Fingers crossed for some wintry stuff x
  8. Loving the fact that it's 'seasonal'! It needs to be cold to get rid of all the germs. Wouldn't it be lovely to have a white Christmas (as long as everyone's where they need to be :-), and as long as you keep feeding the birds). I still remember the icicles from 2010, never seen anything like it. IMHO, winter, should be just that......winter!!!!
  9. So, so wet and dark. A day for pj's, board games and a roast me thinks. Looking forward to colder conditions and perhaps some dry weather?!?
  10. Sorry to hear about your cat Stun12, hope she's soon on the mend. Miserable, murky and very dull here; not ideal weather for my daughter who will be singing at the local 'Christmas lights turn on'. Hey ho, may struggle to juggle mince pie, mulled wine and brolly, brolly may be ditched . Have a good day all!
  11. Beautiful day here, more like September than November. Would really like a real cold spell though....cold, crisp and sunny. Looking forward to the winter / snow banter (please)
  12. Rain, rain, rain....let's hope it's not a repeat of last year. Personally, I'd rather like a winter similar to 2010....snowy Christmas please x
  13. Just had huge bolt of lightening, followed by thunder....it's been a great year for thunder and lightening!
  14. Cloud building and huge rain drops whilst walking the Springer....thought I heard a rumble, however, probably wishful thinking. Have a lovely evening guys x
  15. Come over very dark here and really gusty! Had to put the parasol down, look like it was going to take off. Can't hear anything at the moment though, thunder wise? Fingers crossed though. Ahh, first rumble
  16. Another incredible show!....Didn't have to wake my girls up this time. Love this sooooooo much. Pink, and purple, fork and sheet lightening. We have an amazing view! Good luck everyone x
  17. Thanks so much AS :-). Shame about the Atlantic really; would just love a brief 'snowy' spell. Ruskin sums it up rather well I think... Thanks Steve :-)
  18. Hi guys, does anyone have a link to the Countryfile forecast, as I missed it? Cheers x
  19. Lost power here in Biggin for about 20 mins.....amazing how more intense it all feels/sounds when there is nothing else going on. No television, no laptop, no light. We have trees down and flooding in the lanes. Love 'weather' however, getting a bot scary now :-(. Stay safe guys xx
  20. Good evening all....very bright lightening here, awesome! Just waiting for the downpour
  21. Fantastic cloud formations here in Biggin. Wish I had a good enough camera to catch them on. Torrential down pour at about 6pm, wonderful to see! Would have loved a few rumbles too though ;-)!
  22. Hey...great to be back, thanks for the welcome, hope all's well with you all? Tad disappointed about today's weather (as much as I love snow, I love a good storm too). Will probably be on here more now as I'm in the process of being made redundant.....which is pretty crappy, however, the benefits will be spending the summer with my girls and getting back to this forum again :-)....silver lining and everything x
