  1. Agreed it is quite clear they aren't sure just how far the really cold air will dig , the fact that they are mentioning Southerly tracking LP's is always a good sign and as we know can produce some cracking snow events ..............................for some
  2. I do ......................................................a mild one
  3. Yes but tomorrows 192 won't be like this evenings 216 , that really is nothing new , as long as the trend stays the same
  4. Yet again for the 1,0000000th time wait for the ENS before coming to any conclusion
  5. The MO in their updates have covered ever option going , they are no fools
  6. I don't understand why you say that , it's clear the cold is far enough South
  7. And that won't happen until we are in the 72-96h , you are never going to see it as this range
  8. It's ( OP ) not alone though Joe ,it has plenty of mates hugging the -10
  9. After the last few sets of GEFS , I 'm betting this will be on the high side
  10. Thing is mate they are all inconsistent after 120 at the minute , its a job what to know we will get from this lucky dip
  11. This is interesting from Darren ( Retron on TWO) I also remember on usw ages ago a suggestion that the sort of thing we have now, i.e. a 10hPa reversal followed by a weak resumption of westerlies aloft helps "push down" the easterlies that bit faster. To then be followed by another reversal would suggest those easterlies, once pushed down, would remain there for quite some time. I wonder if there is anything in the archives for a comparison ?
  12. Don't forget there are other warmings up above in the pipeline - they could just give that extra push
  13. A guessing game from everyone in the weather industry , John Hammond in his Monthly update is also guessing . No one really has a clue do they ? do we ? lol
