  1. He definitely will know although I believe he is Austria-based.
  2. The fact that North America is unusually mild I take as a positive for us. I normally look at Marquette in upper Michigan, they are forecast +9c this week where normally they would be sub zero. My train of thought is that the cold must go somewhere so why not us?
  3. Got to be right sooner or later then! But joking aside things feel different this time.
  4. Met Office mention mid January cold too so I'm all ears!
  5. Cheer up! Dennis will be here shortly telling us it's cold in Norway.
  6. Next time she's on have a look. Winds me up no end. But not as bad as the one on itv about 20 years ago on new years eve who was wearing a ball gown!
  7. Agree completely. I find that most of the BBC presenters are annoying in one form or another. Currently my worst 2 are Darren Bett, mild lover and Louise Lear who I believe gets dressed in the dark!
  8. You could have just said generally changeable with snow possible on Northern hills!
  9. I understand your feelings and frustrations completely and you're not the only person feeling disappointed I imagine. The weather will do what it will and nothing we can do will change it. Looking at the model thread is enjoyable but time consuming, it seems late nights everyone is happy but depressed 6 hours later. Maybe do what I intend to do and give the model thread a swerve for a week or so?
  10. Being realistic this is going completely against the forecast from Met Office/ BBC.
  11. Dennis, apologies but I'm confused again. I am aware that Norway is cold and snowy. Do you have a message for the UK or are you rubbing our noses in it?!
  12. All part of the fun that makes model watching so fascinating. But you're right, something feels different this time.
  13. Is this the chart for Sunday? If so we would already have had the Thursday/Friday snow event.
  14. How cold is it likely to be? Forecast at lunchtime showed temperatures of 5 or 6 degrees during daytime. They didn't mention night temperatures.
  15. I wish the BBC would drop Meteogroup and go back to the Met Office. The forecast seemed much more detailed in those days.
  16. It certainly feels very different this year. Looking forward to the BBC forecast at lunchtime. It will be a real headache for them I think.
