  1. Just looking forward to finally getting the dog out for a walk in the snow, be her first experience of snow and she is 5 years old.
  2. Sunday lunchtime with the farmers forecast used to be essential viewing. Gutted they seem to have killed it. Agree they should have kept the met office. Who do they use now?
  3. Just watched BBC weather for the week ahead. Typical winter weather with snow on Northern hills and Scotland, rain elsewhere and mild. Mentioned a bit cooler next weekend but no sign of the Beast. So that's a quarter of February gone without snow for those still waiting.
  4. Quite agree, no snow for the South for another winter. Reminds me of 1983/4 which was snow fest for the North and diddly squat for the South. This time next year Rodney!
  5. Just watched the Countryfile forecast for this week. The cold weather spreads right across the country by Friday when the South East will be shivering at +7C. Brrrr! Winter? What winter? Same old dross.
  6. Indeed you are living in a different country. Nitto snow in my corner of England for 3 years. I understand that Scotland is always more likely to get snow than Southern England, hope you enjoy it.
  7. Yes indeed, just watched the BBC forecast for the week ahead. Mild in the South East and not too much rain. Then when the cold weather spreads to all parts we are still at +7C.
  8. At least life expectancy is longer for Southerners. Gives us longer to enjoy the mild dross!
  9. I recall new year's eve in the late 1970s we had rain turn to heavy snow in Surrey. Was quite spectacular. We always seemed to get a lot back then unless it just felt like a lot as I was shorter then.
  10. January 1985 was pretty good for me in Surrey. Can't remember if it came from the East or the North.
