I have a family crisis looming. My son is at Hull Uni and is so happy about the upcoming events, my daughter is at Manchester Uni and isnt a happy chappy about the upcoming prospects for Manchester ( jealous of her brother ), and here I am sat in the middle right on the will it wont it line as usual. The only significant snowfall either can remember is 2010 when they were 13 and 12. Im hoping all 3 of us see some of the white stuff

Just driven over Woodhead, road clear, snowing only on the very summit and very fine, blowing horizontally ...temp was 0 deg.

The daughter is at Uni in Manchester so was going tonight to collect her..over Woodhead. I love the drive over the tops but we have cancelled it until its all cleared. So it had better close Woodhead tonight, I am relying on what Ive been reading to cancel. . Snake pass been shut all day. Hoping to get her Wednesday afternoon before the next lot arrives.

It really will be a case of waiting to see... Its surprising how many times over yhe tears we have had no snow forecast and then its appeared, or loads and then not a flake. And no matter where its coming from ( north, west east ) any snowline forecast is always around Barnsley we are rarely slap bang in the middle.
