Just watched weatherman Dave on Itv's This Morning. He does the " natural way of forecasting " apparently Yorkshire is in for a "double whammy" with lots of snow this coming cold spell from NE and from the east ..He has a 90% accuracy rating ...havent a clue if he knows what hes on about but Il take it

My fellow Barnsley colleagues...have you ever noticed on predicted snowfall charts Barnsley is always on the border, no matter which way ...so today we are borderline east/west even when coming from other directions we are on the borderline. I know its as we sit next to the Pennines just so frustrating...why cant we just have a big blob smack on top of us? Whinge over

Yes Saint I must admit after the past few weeks Im inclined to ignore the forecasts. Even the national and regional BBC forecasts say different, hope we get some nice surprises where it just comes unexpectedly...still need that wind just to move a tad more from the East for us in central areas.

I live in Town and went over Woodhead on Sunday...I love it where you get to the snowline, its always the same 6ft in Penistone and not a sniff for us Townies We do need the heavier showers but coould also do with that wind turning a bit more from the east. This mornings showers that look to be making it near to Sheffield are passing tantalizingly close.

Ive stopped looking through the window full stop, since the neighbour across the road asked me what was happening the previous day as he had seen me looking intently out of the window...when I told him he looked at me like I was some weirdo lol Its not looking great for Tues/ Weds Scotland look to get it but theres talk of it petering out before it gets anywhere near us.
