Morning all ....well an interesting day BBC on Breakfast said " sleety mix over places like Manchester/Liverpool...and more proper snow Sheffield/Leeds" now its going to be showers and some will be disappointed but if ya get under a streamer ...Think its a radar day.

Well this has been posted on Facebook.... Yorkshire Snow LIVE Updates 8 mins · Evening All, There has been a change in the atmospheric pressure meaning we are still due for snow tomorrow but not as much. It will mainly be sleet in the evening, then more snow as the day comes to a close. We will continue to keep you updated. Team Yorkshire.

Just looking at live webcam in New York...oh dear the storm is just starting...state of emergency issued, no cars allowed on roads after 11pm....jealous? Yep just a tad.

Just had a browse on Facebook....well the words out everybody commenting about the LARGE amount of snow we are going to get...lets face it 6cm is a large amount if you are half my age Im still disappointed if I dont open the back door to a wall of snow !

Guys any idea what that lot is behind the current snow...wales and midlands reporting rain...is it going to catch up and stay as snow ?

I think people are entitled to comment on the regional weather in this thread regarding forecasts , radar etc...we all arent up to par with the models etc therefor we refrain from commenting in model output discussions , it cant go in moans site cos its not a moan its an observation. But I will refrain from commenting about things that arent weather related.

Having a bet with Dad, hes saying it wont settle.( thats based on his experience of the weather over the years * hovis music* I hope it does our youngest dog hasn't seen snow.

Yes Kentish and have you noticed Barnsley is always on the edge of what ever direction the border for snow is? Met office have snow for us overnight clear through wednesday morning and then snow wednesday afternoon....oh dear thats Tesco out of bread and milk then

BBC forecast this morning stating snow for the " south of northern England" The line looks about the Barnsley area and south as usual we are always on the border no matter which direction !!. But does show for most of the day, on Wednesday. Looking at the BBC online it looks a bit further north Leeds etc.

I must admit its the first time I personally can remember so much uncertainty 24hrs out...the weather forecasts seem wishy washy as to whats expected very non committal.
