  1. If this turns out good, then I think it will be a first in my 40 odd years lifetime in south east. Hours of steady rain turning to drifting snow? I've never known that
  2. Good news though. Sittingbourne is direct north east from me and that's where the cold is approaching from
  3. Well if this doesn't turn to proper snow anytime soon, then the Medway will be overtopping again
  4. You are in the east Kent triangle so things will be good for there in a few hours
  5. It's a mystery to me mate. I didn't think rain or snow smelled of anything other than water
  6. Kent hills and east Suffolk competing with south pennines and Grampian. That's sounds like something from 35 years ago
  7. Hawkinge will be in a blizzard very soon if there's sleet in folkestone already
  8. Yeah think there's a few blobs of sleet mixed in with the teeming rain. That's good news
  9. Latest update from my patch. It's still a grim and wet night. Wind is howling now
  10. I was thinking the downs in the triangle rather than any of the towns. Ashford will do better than Maidstone I'm confident
  11. Cant confirm because I'm 30 miles away but it the triangle between Canterbury, Ashford and Dover. That's going to be the sweet spot ( only my opinion though)
  12. Ha you put Maidstone in the sweet spot but to be honest I think the 20 cm area should primarly include the east Kent downs between Canterbury ,Ashford and Dover.
  13. I think Hawkinge and Densole on the downs near folkestone will do rather well. They always did when I lived in that area.
  14. Maybe Westwood cross. That's proper alpine. 50 odd metres above sea level
  15. Boxley is close. Blue bell Hill involves walking through aylesford and andfeccles
  16. You are legend. I rely on Boxley down to see snow. It's 40 minutes walk from Maidstone town centre. I managed to see a snow cover on Boxley downs on Jan 16. But it rained after to remove
  17. I was trying to avoid being a nimby. I'm deffo not in Bedfordshire. I'm in the ruins of west and mid Kent
  18. Let's go. Let's imagine that th e God of cold is sprinkling chances across the south and east ok
  19. How about a classsic and less rare mid Kent streamer from faversham to Eastbourne
