Sounds very similar to myself - I have lurked for many a year and loved reading the posts on here and learned so much from the regular posters. Likewise I came out of hiding last night after many years of reading every winter. Let’s hope we have both arrived in time for some classic Scottish winter weather? No snow here yet in peterculter just outside Aberdeen - windy though. BBC / Met a bit confusing for the next couple of days before things appear to be a bit more straightforward for snow even down to low levels at the weekend - hope so anyway.

Hello everyone - Long time lurker here and have just registered and now posting for first time. Have really enjoyed reading everyone’s posts on this thread and seeing the snow updates across Scotland. I’m old enough to remember the classic 70s and 80’s winters - growing up in the moray firth area. Been quite snow starved here in the Aberdeen area so far this winter but maybe that’s about to change
