What is the magic of snow for everyone?
Why do we pray for the radar to hover just above our little dot?One of life’s little mysteries!

NE England looks like it’s got measles on the radar. Blowing well inland now, almost to Wales!

Not surprised, the overnight high resolution models have strengthened the convection coming in, especially tonight . Strong signs of a true Thames streamer late evening into the morning hours embedded as well. AROME for example has a fairly clear streamer path with 7-15cms, with more further east obviously.
Let’s hope the streamers a) happen and b) push well inland.
SE Essex normally does half decent. Any more info you see Kold, whack it up here... -

Not a lot to write home about here

A fellow Essex friend of mine genuinely just sent me this..
“Biggest letdown in living memory imo. No more snow ever in SE England due to increased use of lynx Africa by 15-20 year olds”- 3

What a disappointment for south Essex! Orange zone you say!

Well, what a massive letdown that was.

Night all. Can’t wait any longer!
I’m expecting the heaviest snow from 10am onwards looking at all the reports, god knows how long for tomorrow, it looks very good for east Essex and most of Kent looking at the live radars.- 1

I would say Darcy looks a good bit further north looking at the radar vs what was forecast.

Light snow here in Benfleet. Strong howling wind.
Snow looks quite wet at the moment, not settling yet.

Think it's still sleet here, when you say SW do you mean in the channel.
It’s near Folkestone/Dover

It won't be long before we start seeing the first reports of settling snow in our region. Eastern facing coasts in Kent and Essex should start getting the wintrier ppn from the Netherlands in the next half hour.
I think you won’t be far wrong there.
S/SE Essex looks right in the firing line. -
I can’t emphasise enough how strong this wind is here.

Sleet here in Benfleet and a noisy gale force wind.
