  1. Got a bit of rain yesterday morning, really need this rain tomorrow. So dry here. Hopefully we get the rain we want and then things turn more settled later in the months, not much sign of things settling down much on GFS but ECM is showing hints of better weather for the SE.
  2. Probably be mainly cloudy even down here though if UKMO is right.
  3. Looked like a right old drenching was on its way to us for later next week up until yesterdays runs. It seems to me that rainfall is being downgraded by the models this spring just as much as snow is usually downgraded in winter.
  4. Yes your quite right there. 18z looking a lot better, we have light at the end of the tunnel for some milder settled weather, HP moving up from the south and dare I say the chance of some very warm temps , after some much appreciated rainfall. Very much outside of the reliable though of course but you never know.
  5. Bone dry here too, still only had slight drizzle at best. Funny how there has been heavy showers all around me though, saw the cloud rolling in, the radar showed them clearly, and yet they all seem to miss. Most of Kent has had a fair bit of rain yesterday and this morning, but not in this little bit of North Kent/SE London, nothing.
  6. ECM has now dropped the arctic blast for D8/9, no surprises there. Ensembles looking much better, things warming up nicely and also a settled period coming up by the looks of things. Manchester and London.
  7. Missed most of the showers again, somehow found the gaps, blinking strange. I would have been real upset if it was winter though and they were snow showers!
  8. Well here we go again, very wintry chart even for early May, Brrrrrrrrr!
  9. Well thats true, at least things should start to warm up a bit though come December, so only another 7 months to go.
  10. Some may well see some snow if some of these charts verify even in the south, I mean it can snow in May, October and November in the UK quite easily particularly in the north. Might be some decent skiing conditions in Scotland by mid month. Anyway, chins up only 7 months left to go to the start of Winter proper!
  11. If some of these charts verify it will be colder in mid May in many places than it was in Dec and Jan, but don't be surprised if you even see some snow, this is what often happens in the UK and our mad weather. My worry is the likelihood of more damaging frosts to come.
  12. Radar shows some PPN finally moving up from the south, can we get more than the usual light drizzle though this time?
  13. Yes I think that the heavy rain over France could be heading our way later this evening, also some rain moving in now from the west to kick things off. Not watered plants today, can we actually get some real rain!?
  14. Well hopefully not this year but 06z showing another cold plunge in May, hope that its wrong, it would defo have been wrong if it was January.
  15. Yes some very low temps last night to the west of London, -2/-3/-4c recorded, a -5c in mid Wales. Charts continue the northern blocking theme, if only it was 3 months back, an easterly wind keeping thing chilly in the SE I would think but surely this is the last of any frosts.
  16. It's very strange that all of our cold blasts get either shifted east of end up just to the east in the Atlantic. It's as if the models know wheat to expect but the weather does something else even at short notice.
  17. This spell of weather has not been anywhere near as cold as expected, not surprised though. Finnish above 9c I'd say.
  18. Did anyone actually get a proper shower today? I'm going to have to water again then.
