Was a sunny morning, but cloud slowly building now from the south in advance of the approching rain fronts. Temp 20.6C Pressure 1009.8 Falling Humidity 60%
Blimey, still lots of wood around then!! They closed the beaches around the Worthing area IIRC, only problem is the wood will be all rotten by now . BTW what is that boat doing on the side of the cliff????? Thank you for the photos
Hello and Welcome to the forum, nice to have you on board Interesting article....love the part that says the road from Ilminster to Honiton was completely blocked by three lorries. -0.01% that happening again on the A303!! (although you never know) and drivers were being advised to carry snow chains with them...wtf!!!! haven't seen snow chains before, then again Im only 27 Thanks Mr Data for the article
Yes I have to agree with you on this one.....plus could there be a chance just behind the rain band of possibly very nasty squall lines with imbedded TS??
No rain here yet, though the clouds look threatening and looks like I am at the end of the long line of showers from London stretching to Dorset/Somerset
I know its the wrong time to post this considering there are severe floods across most of the UK, but I certainly didn't realise there was a tornado across the South Hams district of Devon on the 19th July Saw these photos on the BBC Devon website, looks quite a powerful one and pretty certain judging my the photos that it did touch the ground around Salcome/Kingsbridge. Any reports of damage around there?? http://www.bbc.co.uk/devon/content/image_g...gallery.shtml?1
On the other hand of what is happening furthur east, its slowly brightning up here and not much rain at all today  Wondering if convection will occur here this afternoon? Warming up slowly
Morning all, Very strange skies here this morning. To my W/SW its much lighter yet to my E/NE its very dark indeed with a blanket of stormy looking cloud. Just light rain here at the moment - and have got the lounge light on, thats how dark it is!!
Stuck another photo of the storm that produced the FC - It isn't zoomed in so much clearer (although it doesn't show the FC).
Looks an angry beast
Judging by the photos above it looks as though the FC dropped from the right of the cell were the rain seems to stop?
