  1. Front nearly clear. Now the showers / front are at the Isle of Man and heading our way can they keep their intensity
  2. Heavier and now sleet with odd flake mixed in - Alty Heading out to Macc this aft !
  3. Deff pushing NE, about Chester now so it should reach us (Altrincham) before pivoting away SE, Metoradar good for this http://meteoradar.co.uk/expected-rainfall
  4. That’s what I was saying NW Snow Wrong trajectory unfortunately the Meto radar has it moving wnw exiting Conway and not Southport
  5. http://meteoradar.co.uk/zoom/757/713/verwacht# What radar you using guys to see the band coming up, this one, which has been good, doesn't have anything landing in Mcr at all
  6. Poor from this so called band for MCr. Nowt much left on the radar either
  7. Getting darker so hopefully this is the start of the 3pm SE band from the midlands
  8. Looks to be two bands pushing NW, One goes right over town (Mcr) and then another has a more southern trajectory, in Alty I may get lucky and get something from both, 5 miles in it for the second band
  9. Likewise, cheers Karyo So after this band moves away west we get in on the pivoting front from around 2-3.30 Excellent, could be a little better in terms of intensity as its a front not blowing merged showers from the East, wind up too, could that be the upper air masses meeting?
  10. I'm in Hale, quite close, its gusting light snow, has been all morning, but main roads all fine
  11. We radar got some more coming down the M62 - about 7pm, hope they can keep their intensity, that last one was ace, big flakes and blizzard like I'm about 3 miles from the airport and thats a hell of low dew point I'm sticking with Stafford as the North bound extend of the first push
  12. Very heavy just past through, biggest flakes of the day
  13. snowing in the wind now in alty, getting darker so band has made it, not big flakes though seems a very dynamic situation as the wind veers from SE to E
  14. Just had a heavy shower too. Bitter out and clouds rolling in. Pleasantly surprised so this bodes well for tomorrow and Friday we’ll have to see how far north it gets. My guess Stafford
  15. Just watched the BBC forecast and there was plenty of snow graphics making them over with a good block on Wednesday on Manchester, Friday they didn't who the Northern extent as such, north midlands as snow then it the clip stopped
  16. Couple of inches in Alty, not bad, the powder snow was coming down 5am ish and then got heavier around 7 till 8.30 Stopped now, so radar time to see if those showers pep up and make it
  17. Lovely day out up through Macc Forest to Shuttlingsloe Freezing wind at the top, god knows how cold it'd be up there next week No Goshawks showing which is a shame as its perfect conditions
  18. Few flakes now coming down blowing around, very gusty
  19. thanks for the charts Weather History - gives us all something to look out for as the timescales count down hopefully on the models
  20. From your excellent knowledge of the historic weather, does the later part of next week, (which may not happen) have any similarities to 91? Do you have a link to the archives please?
