    Very light sleet here, wind getting up though feels bitter out I think the N24 forecasts are on a loop sometimes The latest one with the extreme warning must be bang upto date so let's see where we are 20.00hrs

    Hello NW. Great day today, hardly any melt. Seems the front is moving on an axis say Bristol to Hull with snow the leading edge, we should get something out of this by say, 18.00hrs. Also the 12z is showing something for the 25th. Have to say how poor the BBC NW forecasts have been, oh bring back Jo Blyth! Seriously they didn't forecast anything until it was too late.

    Belting down here at work, Birchwood. Better than I expected here today, this is turning into a better day than Sunday! Heavy prolonged snow now for the last hour. Is this the streamer effect? Wonderful

    Bonus this morning, another whiteout. About a further inch on top. Sky looks fantastic out to the West, bright orange, hopefully more to come! ECM good this morn, in the long term. Short term lets see how far north Thursday low pushes, could be a snow line from Birmingham to York on the leading edge.

    Indeed it is, trough pushing up against the cold air. Might be a white Christmas ie 12.01am. Dry bright and frosty here in Hale, Beeb had a few flurries on Wednesday for us so fingers crossed. Few of our staff from further North, (of Preston) can't get in today so I guess the North NW is getting some today. Did enjoy yesterday though, great to play with the kids in the snow, our friends in Philadelphia had 24 inches! wow.

    Heavy sleet here in Hale, temp just dropped from 3 to 1 as we came from wilmslow to hale. Very dicey on surfaces Hopefully cold can undercut as the precip is good
