  2. Currently 5.2c here after an overnight low of 2c, looking beautifuly sunny today.
  3. Well today, 14 October, there was a massive fall of hail here, and in the corner of my garden it looked like snow where nearly an inch of icy hail had settled. So far its lasted nearly 2 hours! Roll on winter!
  4. Hottest day here today, equalling the temp I got back in early June of 27.7c. Was lovely and sunny and hot this monrning, but now it has been raining since about 1pm, started as a heavy shower, became drizzly, now cloudy, on/off rain and a muggy 25c, which isn't bad under the rain.
  5. Feeling hot, hot HOT! It maxed at a respectable 24.4c today, not great, but certainly felt hot today in the sun. Now gone cloudy and hazy, but stil nice and warm.
  6. Not bad today, bright and sunny spells at times, 23c, feels very warm when the sun comes out, I've just been sat on the decking in the sun with a good book, feels very holiday-like! Getting to the point of almost muggy now, but I don't mind when it's warm.
  7. 21.4c, sunny spells, light breeze, not too bad a day all in all, felt almost hot when I was out cycling.
  8. Lovely and warm, 86F in the sun at 10am it was! Still clear and sunny, temperature around mid-teens, but I can't see my thermometer. 67F I think.
  9. Plenty of heavy rain showers Thursday and Wednesday, a little hail at times, but nothing very bad. I dunno how the mids got snow, I certainly didn't!
  10. Heavy hail showers several times throughout this afternoon, sleety at times in heaviest bursts.
  11. Sunny spells here, temperature around 12c! My snowman's thawing rapidly, so I moved him to the shade.
  12. Well winter certainly did return here! 4 inches of snow! I was trying to build an igloo, but only got about a foot high! Here's to a short, sunny and warm spring, straight into lovely summer weather.
  13. Woke up to a 3-4 inch covering this morning, and it was still snowing until about 8-8:30. Still a covering of snow in the garden and on fields, but now drizlling a little causing a thaw. I have piled up most of the snow in my garden in one place, its nearly half a metre high! Interesting to see how long it lasts...
  14. Well it's been snowing for the past hour, sometimes heavy, but it's refusing to settle! A bit on the grass, but not much, and it's just a constant sleety snow that does nothing but make the ground wet! :-x Still, at least it's only the start of the front. Temp. 1.8C.
  15. Started a wet sleet shower here, very heavy, but little in the way of snow.
  16. Wow looking at the Cairngorm Mountain webcams, the scottish ski resorts have enjoyed the best day of the season so far! www.cairngormmountain.com They had around 10 inches in the past day, superb powder conditions in fine dry and sunny weather! Glencoe also opened today for the first time this season. But back down to eart with a bump, today was dry and sunny with no snow in Herefordshire, temperature around 5C mostly. Had a trip up the Black Mountains, VERY patchy snow up there, just hard packed sections on the paths occasioanlly, and a light few cm's on the summit of Hay Bluff. Vaguely sledgable for a few metres on the summit! Still, not bad compared to my town of Ross, where snow has yet to fall proper.
  17. Woke up to a cm or so this morning here in South Herefordshire, and enough to push together everything from the cars and chairs etc to make a mini snowman lol! Now all that's left of him is a little white lump on the garden table, but I stuck him in the freezer for a while earlier and now he's a nice solid and quite substantial lump lol! All the snow was gone by lunchtime though, it drizzled all morning  Still I got some decent photos, does anyone know how I can upoad them?
  18. Up on Black Mountains in Wales today there was a lot of snow cover over about 300m. About 5 inches at least I would say. Been sledging up there today, I'll post some pics!
  19. Anyone in S. Wales, about how high is the altitude where snow has settled?
  20. Sleet heavy this morning driving in South Wales, temp approx. 3.5C at the time.
  21. Sleety shower now here at 19:45. It started raining, now more sleety, nothing settling though.
  22. Last night when the rain arived there was ever such a slight sleety fall, before it rained heavily.
