  1. Mostly cloudy, slight/light breeze. 18C, 75% humidity. 5mm.
  2. Fairly sunny over the last hour or so. A bulky ribbon to the west is presumably the trough, breeze picking up and some very low grey clouds heading past (not sure of cloud names). Edit: Now overcast, light breeze, dry. 20C, 80% humidity.
  3. Glad I upgraded my rain gauge capacity not so long ago! 73mm since 7.30pm yesterday. Heavy showers all night and a downpour at sometime, 4 or 5 am, this morning, turned the 1/4 road past my house (with not a great catchment really) into a stream. Started coming in through the roof also, which is a new one here. Currently mainly overcast, bright, slight breeze, dry. 21C, 80% R/H.
  4. Very humid this afternoon. Not seen a single ray of sun or any blue sky whatsoever. Feels very threatening, showers this afternoon, 10mm. Overcast, slight breeze, 18.5C, 90% hum (feels like 101%).
  5. I imagine it was probably hot here today. Currently 24C, 60% R/H, mostly clear and about 3mm in the pot from a thunderstorm at 5pm.
  6. Just arrived back from west Wales to that at 5pm Also a storm at about 3 am on Monday morning near Cardigan (some hours after the dry hay was put away - just ) Strange, lightning quite close, but very, very quiet thunder. Some strange atmospheric phenomenon!
  7. Very sunny, a slight breeze. Min last night 16C.
  8. I always go for a mercury thermometer. Alcohol one's that I've seen seem to stick quite a bit to the sides, never mind the meniscus. On the other hand it can't be a very good idea to have mercury accumulating all over the place.
  9. Not much sunshine today. Mostly cloudy at the moment, dead calm and 50% hum and 24C.
  10. Mostly cloudy, bright this morning. Calm/slight breeze, 24/25C. Min last night 15C.
  11. Cloudless at the moment, after quite a bit of it today. Slight breeze, 22C and 60% hum.
  12. Amazing sky last night as the sun sank behind a large black cloud and an a very vivid sun dog?/rainbow in the cirrus. Misty start this morning, quite a bit of light cloud about now, with sunny spells, calm. Min last night 13C.
  13. I should get a thermometer from Lidl and make your own humidity meter with a dial and a human hair and a yoghurt pot. That's what got me started on my horizontal learning weather curve. B)
  14. Warm and sunny inbetween very large showery looking cumulous. Gusty light breezes, from the convection I suppose.
  15. Dry overnight. Now mostly cloudy, slight breeze. 19C and 50% humidity (roughly). Some convection and looks showery.
  16. About 14mm since Friday. Just gruesomely slaughtered some molluscs. Rained all the way alonhg the M4 from Carmarthen, amazing how many people are trying to conserve energy. Damp, eggshell blue and flat calm atm. Still warm.
  17. Good kite flying weather probably this afternoon, with some snuuy spells, one of them particularly snuuy. Quite a nice day really, here. No rain today though.
  18. Eureka/I have found the answer! A couple of days ago, one evening, I was looking out my window into the garden admiring the fast rate of growth I spotted the neighbours cat preparing to lay one of it's eggs. I legged it outside, livid, with intent to commit felinecide. Well the cat disarmed me by doing 'nobody loves me' type miaowing and coming closer and closer. I went back inside, just managing to close the cat out and me in. For some reason, we've got a toy cuddly lion about 3 foot long. I picked it up and took it outside making lion noises (as best as I could - nevermind what the neighbours think anymore ). The cat, surprisingly, seemed fooled by this and tried to leg it out of the garden, to get away from the hungry lion that had presumably escaped from the zoo!? Of all the places the cat could have chosen to scramble over the low wall and up the fence, it chose where I have put my 2 large cacti It got off these quickly, found another exit and I haven't seen it since. I'm pleased to report I've not seen it since, touch wood, and thankfully the cacti are undamaged. I know, I'm a very bad person
  19. A bit of rain last night (1mm), breezy. Currently 17C and 50% R/H, overcast, dry.
  20. Severe weather expected tonight (21 June) in the area (I think!? ). Here's the GFS precipitation chart: And the estofex forecast: (with a Threat level 2 issued) http://www.estofex.org/
  21. Just 3 drops of rain today. The sunniest this evening but I did get up late. Now it's calm and clammy. 17C and 80% rh.
  22. Overcast, thin cloud, dry, slight breeze. Min 15C, now 22C adn 50% R/H. Lots of pollen.
  23. Carnivourus crawling marigolds, I've forgotten the latin name
