    local radio just said the snow for my area is unlikely to stop until 4 o clock and won't totally disappear until 9pm

    looking t the latest gfs (6z) we could see the heaviest around midday, but also saturday is starting to look more interesting for you.

    im 20 miles further west with decent snow...strange how you have only small amounts. but i honestly dont think its gonna get any heavier round here than it already is.

    im 40 miles south of you and we've had a good covering of non stop snow since 7.15...shows the difference a few miles can make.

    40 miles west of the wash. BBC radar shows it over us at about 5-6am.

    well im just hopin this small band of snow showers that the bbc are forecasting moving south in a few hours leaves a present for me when i wake up in the morning. night all, hope the gfs 00z picks up tonight...have a feeling it might!

    the bbc is showing the best forecast for my area i have seen for a long time. snow tonight but more importantly thursday!

    at the end of the day folks this real cold has been forecast for the 7th of feb since the last "cold snap" at the middle end of january and people kept saying it was f1 to look that far.. it just disappeared for a little while before reforming. credit for the gfs on this one.

    the bbc forecast i saw earlier they said there was a lot of uncertainty about wednesday but a lot of snow could push in to the south, or it could stay in france...i guess there won't be an answer until a lot nearer the time.

    the met office also seem to be sticking to their guns on this one about sunday night into monday. so you could well be right!
