Hey everyone, a friend of mine at work caught these pictures over Aberdeen Bay last Sunday...i thought you all might like to see them, pretty spectacular for the UK let alone Scotland. Can anyone advise me where the thread for the July Photo Comp is?? The 2 pictures are... 1, the storm before 2, the Tornado/Funnel generated Observe the Ship below the Funnel

Snow/wintry Precipitation Reports 28th Feb 2006
JRMcLeod replied to Paul Sherman's topic in Spring Weather Discussion
Unbelievable amount of snow up here, the whole north east is a white out, lots of closed roads and schools, my work has shut its doors today and tomorrow...the snow started last night and when i woke up this a.m. it was snowing and it didnt stop til 5 mins ago but its about to come back on...there would be an easy 3" with high drifting against the walls of about 10". WHERE DO I POST MY PICS TO SHOW YOU ALL??? -
I have decided to post some pictures re: snow this evening, there have been some very heavy snow showers, only problem is that they are snow showers and not prolonged in any way at all. I really wouldnt be surprised if it were truely white in the morning, especially as the snow in these pictures has only really fell in the past 2 hours or so....will keep posting pics here if its ok with the mods????
-
Just had a proper blizzard here, lasted a good 10 mins...looks like there is more on the way, a good dustin on the ground. Does anyone know if its ok to post pictures of the snow here??? i have some and there quite good

its just a joke, there is nothing in stonehaven but ice then you drive 5 miles in land and the roads are unrecognisable...vry picturesque though!!
-
an easy 6" of snow between stonehaven and banchory, it has been a complete white out for the past two hours and more is flooding in from the north sea, some very dangerous driving to be had out there....definately need to close some roads. Stopped counting the amount of snow ahowers there have been but i would guess it at about 20. Its so cold that the grit they have put on the roads has done nothing, they would have been aswell putting down more snow...
-
5C and very windy, drizzly and sleet mixed in for a good 15mins...finished with now tho!!

I work in Banchory and it hasn't stopped snowing allday, some very very heavy showers. Slightly up the dee valley towards Aboybe they have had to stop all the buses because of the snow. Haven't seen such heavy snow in November for a long time. A serious covering today, 8" fell during the night last night and aleast another few during the day.....very interesting weather, and now looks like it is going to be on again Abodye - *Aboyne (ooops!!) -

Stopped for an hour but its picking up again. Can see the light glare of Aberdeen/Portlethen from Stonehaven and there are ominous clouds everywhere, i have a strange suspition that it aint over yet by a long shot, look out further south and east, i would say that there is still alot of snow to come -
