Had some snow this morning here is Banchory at 0900. Very heavy hail at 5am aswell, woke me up it was so loud. -
Hi All, I had the opportunity to take a few pictures of the Snowfall at my parents house near Stonehaven on Saturday, unfortunately i couldnt take any on Sunday, wish i could have because 4 more inches fell during the night. Its still completely white here this morning even after the rain yesterday. I honestly cannot remember this much november snow since 1996. The deepest snow i measured were drifts at 19" and the deepest on the grass was 8". You can see this by my footprint on one of the images, my feet are size 9 so you can get an idea of the depth, bear in mind this was before the heavy snowfall f Saturday night. Hope you like the images.

Thought i'd share some images with you all of the snow in Aberdeenshire. These images were taken on Saturday, however, there was another 4" of snowfall on Saturday night. The average depth was about 9" by sunday lunchtime. Its been raining but not much of the snow has melted. I heard that there is a sever weather warning for snow today in Aberdeenshire and "yes" its been snowing again this morning. The picture with the footprint shows how deep the snow was on saturday, my feet are size 9's so you can get a better idea. Add another 4" onto it to get the real depth after Saturday night. -

Took 45 minutes to drive home when the normal is 20. Still snowing and the regional weather forecast is for heavy snow tonight with another 3cm's expected and even more tomorrow night. They mentioned 3 warmer days and then a return to a Northerly for the end of the week...anyone able to confirm the likelyhood of this??? -

Drove over the Slug Road to work as usual this morning, the view was amazing, completely white from the Cairn O' Mount right up as far as the eye could see. The snow started at 0820 and sitting in the office now in Banchory where there was no snow when i arrived on the ground, now there is about an inch, very large snow flakes been falling for about 20 mins. One of my friends at work travels over the Cairn O'Mount and it is closed due to snow. Its looking very promising here, yet again another good Aberdeenshire snowfall...keep it coming -

Here are some pics from this weekend at my parents between Stonehaven and Banchory. We had a tree fall down due to the wind and found some pretty impressive Fungai growing on some dead wood. -

Lots of snow here at the moment, reports of severe distruption in aviemore and the Aberdeen-Inverness road. Approximately 2-3cms here in Banchory, a light dusting on the coast at 8am. Have seen lots of vehicles with an easy 2" of snow on them coming form further up Deeside. Looks like winter is finally here in Scotland.... -
