Looking very stable to the W/SW of London currently. Not to be today.

Which direction is that stuff moving in? Hard to tell looking at Radar, cant decide whether to jump in car or stay put.

I appear to have booked a week off work in October! Dreadful weather out there.

Channel Islands have more snow than we do here in this part of Surrey. Says it all really!

These streamers just dont have any oomph, shame.

I'd sooner have a couple of beefy showers rather than persistent light snow that isn't going to accumulate too much, don't want to sound ungrateful though!
My prediction of a couple of inches for this area the other day seem to have been over enthusiastic.

Best snizzle of the day at the moment which isn't saying much, the slightest of dusting on garden furniture. Once passed over that'll be us done.

Cant even see any streamers setting up at this rate, regardless of any positive spin being out on things by folk this has not panned out as forecasts suggested and I cant see that changing. From an IMBY perspective wasn't expecting much anyway so not overly disappointed but I do feel for those further East where this has failed to deliver.

Away from the extreme east of the region who look likely do do well with snow the headline further west is feeling extremely cold with harsh windchill (nothing compared to those on the North Sea facing coasts of course where it will be brutal) but predominantly dry, I'll take that over mild/wet muck to dry things out.

Not looking good for the West of the region is it, to be fair the members to the East of the region are long overdue so best of luck!

Can I quote this post please come Tuesday... I think @Paul Sherman has a couple saved back as you are not far from me.. Lets see
You can, I'll go for a light covering (1-2" max for NW Surrey)

Not expecting much here unless we get a streamer setup from which we could get lucky as we did back in 2009 or 2010(cant remember which) which dumped about 6 inches. Looking good further East in the region for Sunday.

Thunder snow reported in Southampton, never witnessed that!

Rain here.....meh

Too far west here for anything other than rain i think, hopefully something better than marginal muck for those of you further east in the region on Saturday

The sun's out, that'll do for me, roll on spring.

Thames streamer 2021 style.......Torrential rain with loads more to come.
Really horrible weather these last couple of days, here's hoping for dryer and bright/crisp days.
