Disgusting day so far here, all the lights on it's that gloomy.
Fortunately off to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight for a nights stay where the weather looks far more promising.

Non event here, not even that much rain
-
Lightning seems to have died down a little other than the occasional very close strike but the rain rate has increased dramatically, local roads have surface flooding

Just had some light drizzle from a decaying shower, that's an improvement on Recent events, we sit in the oven to watch others enjoy the rewards........good luck to them though storms today looked awesome although if being picky would have been better after dark due to elevated nature.

Already just had a heavy shower. The area of activity you see on the radar is pretty much the area the Euro4 has consistently predicted for the past couple of days.
So what is likely to happen today is this area will intensify during today whilst drifting north into Lincs/Humber before finally clearing into the N Sea. I do not see anything for the far S or SE, not even a light shower.
Already had a couple of showers here, I would class us as SE

From this afternoon's charts and the Beeb forecast, I would be inclined to go for a Sunday trip. It's a mixed (uncertain) picture for Saturday and there could be some very heavy and thundery showers about. Whereas Sunday looks the safer option. Good luck with your decision!
Saturday charts at 17.00 from GFS, NMM and Arpege:
And the Beeb/Met Office view of Saturday 17.00:
Sunday charts at 17.00 from GFS, NMM and Arpege:
And I thought this evening's BBC Look East graphic of the synoptics for Saturday was excellent, showing the returning Warm Front and our Region on the 'hot' side of the air masses!
Thank you for the reply, appreciated, I was leaning towards Sunday as well after seeing the latest forecast

Looking at the various models haven't got a clue what going to happen down here as they are so varied at such short range, anybody know why there is still so much uncertainty/differences in model output?
