Oh, yes! I'd completely forgotten about the ignore button.......I've not had to use it in over 7 years. Thank you. I'd do you a "thumbs up smiley", but it looks like smileys have been disabled at the moment.

May I ask "Where are you?".

Still nothing here, and yet there has been snow just a few miles from me. Why did I bother moving North of the M4?
-
Nothing in Coalpit Heath (yet) but it's got much colder and windier.

I couldn't agree more. At one point last week, it was suggested that we might be needing snowmobiles to get to work today..........look how today ended up. I will believe it when I see it. I want it to happen, though.......... getting a bit peed off with all the downgrades.

Bloomin' icy cold rain here.....last night's dusting is but a faded memory. My daughter tells me that Alex Deakin referred to people like us as "snowmantics".......isn't that lovely. There does seem to be more of an acknowledgement amongst TV forecasters of our existence these days.

I know I said it's snowing, but really it's a bit more like a sprinklng of salt on the car roof! At my old house I had a nice carport to stand under and a good lamp post outside.......I could stand in comfort and watch it fall. Here in my new house it's not so good.......no shelter and dodgy dazzling bright orange streetlights. I shall go outside and try to find a way to enjoy it in comfort, as long as it hasn't stopped! Back in a bit..........

Looks like it to me. I'm beginning to feel like a donkey with a carrot dangling on a stick in front of him (her)........it's always just out of reach. I'm off to do the wallpaper stripping that I should have done yesterday. Then, this afternoon, I shall sit down with a pot of tea and a plate of crumpets and watch The Day After Tomorrow. See you all later, lovely peeps. -

I've spent the entire day waiting for snow and didn't have one flake! I could have stripped the paper off the hall ceiling and taken the curtain pole down ready for the plasterers. Now I'll have to do it tomorrow. -

I spent nearly 50 years thinking I was odd because I like snow. No-one I knew liked it, they all moaned and complained about it. Then I found this place and felt at home. -

Crikey, isn't it amazing how just a few miles can make a difference? What sort of time was that and was there any on Siston Common? -

Dry. Very cold. Very windy. Very boring........ I need snow. I might have to resort to putting TDAT on the dvd player! -
Count me in...a few flakes of non-settling snow in November can't count, I hope! Hoping my membership will be of a very short duration. How's about some sort of honorary award for anyone still here come May?

I bet it won't just be the "West of the Tamar" folk who miss out. But, there will probably be "The No Snow Club" to join, where the snowless can drown their sorrows together. I bet there will be quite a few members. We are all in it together at the moment (where have I heard that recently?!) and there might be some sort of consolation in being the longest serving member? An award or something, letters after one's name? -

I've had some bits of blue sky here for nearly an hour now, I don't know whether to be happy about it or not! I think I'd rather have some snow.... -

I posted a post just now, and it's gone. I was reporting that there is quite a bit of blue sky here and the sun is coming through a bit and dazzling me by reflecting on the laptop. What was this boding in the way of snow, I wondered? -
Q) What is that I see out of my window? A) Some blue sky and sunshine. What it signifies re snow possibilities, I haven't got a clue! Oh, it's actually reflecting on the keyboard now......I'll either have to move across the room or shut the curtains!

Re your mention of the river rising quickly (which river are you referring to, BTW, as I'm East Devon born and bred), some roads around me are starting to flood already, after just a few hours' light-ish rain. The ground is just so saturated. Some fields have been permanently flooded for over 4 months now. -

I was going to say that that's not quite me, but on second thoughts it looks like great fun! I quite fancy one, actually! Imagine the sense of freedom as you go shooting past the snarled up traffic. It takes me back to my misspent youth and a boyfriend with a Triumph 350..............
