  9. Thinking about it a bit. Havent we always called Pluto the dwarf planet? I mean from school, thats what I remember it called
  10. Pluto is a word that belongs to us all, and were we all asked?
  11. I see your point Crimsone, i wish people would not keep changing things like this, which we are used too. The minority that voted against the change, were probbably dissapointed, i certainly am. Russ.
  12. Dwarf planet, for Pluto fans about as welcome as the mini-tornado
  13. Rain getting heaver now and more persistant, than earlyer on, i expect its a larger shower. There is a storm to our SW on radar, near the Channel Islands.

  19. Hi as promised arial photos i took in the dry Spring of 1997. 9 tumuli in this one, not all are visible, very rare to see anything on this field.(in the middle) This is not a scheduled monument yet, but I like to think it is a good one, its at the very top of a hill. Its got to be somthing good The County archaeologist went and had a look after i had shown him this one, its an Enclosure. Ancient field system, and lots more. Ancient field system. i must have another go at that some day, I did enjoy myself.
  20. That's very good of you, thank you. I am working at the moment(!), tonight i'll post a few pictures, of our local stuff, much better than the one i posted. Russ.
  21. I love the subject, whenever i see local history revealed like that, especially near home, Very interesting. Regardless of how far away I am, I would be interested in seeing the rest of the photos in the paper anyway, i expect it would infringe copyright if you posted them though. Here is a sample of some of my local area which I look for traces of the past in, sorry about the scribbling,it happens that this shot was at hand I could have posted a better one but thats on a hard drive i canot acesse without turning off completly first. Russ
  22. That was a very good post T.M.
  23. I like meteors , the best, i have seen two good ones The best was in the late 70s, it made some papers and local TV (look north then). I was in bed with the curtains closed, the whole room lit up like nothing i have seen before or since, then there was a long thunderous very basey rumble, which scared the s**t out of everybody and all the animals for miles freaked. I was in Macclesfield Cheshire at the time.
  24. Its raining on and off, at last rain! it did a little overnight aswell 21.1 c
