  2. hi, which radar are you using at the moment ?
  3. i agree. i posted, relaxing and forgetting all that:mellow:
  4. I may be barking up the wrong tree, if so i dont mind being corrected. Presuming that the star concerned has already reached supernova 1000's of years ago. Apparently it looks like its going to go critical, so i presume it will have done a long time ago.(Because of the time taken for light to travel....) If it was to do us any harm it would it have done it by now. I say this not knowing which is faster light, G rays, X rays, blast or magnetic effect. I guess magnetic effect the faster of the above. So it could have happened in the stoneage. We could have felt the effects in the middle ages and see it tomorrow Like i say, i may not have the facts right
  5. I'll try this one. The view from Culver Down looking towards Brading. Taken as i was en-route to look at the storm, currently just a few miles East, which lasted for ages, and went on to Winchester ect,ect.....
  6. Nice, that will probbably beat my effort (in a larger size)
  7. very nice , i would expect that's very good full size
  8. we got light rain here before the storm got on top of us. Looking at the radar its now 61 miles , so its heading or recieding south, i suppose.

  11. Storms now visible to my East/south east. i am going chasing now to Culver Down, bye
  12. Hi Kelly, the second storm group at 330ish was better than the first for lightning i think. I was awoken by it at 330ish, lots more rumbling than the group in the evening. Have put 2 shots in photography. Russ
  13. This storm looks good on radar. i am sat right under the eastern most bit at the moment, all i can say is that its rumbley but the lightning is high altitude mostley.
  14. I can see and hear thease 3 storms. they are heading north right over me for once. Most storms avoid the IOW you see, but not today!
  15. Nice group of storms to east of Isle of Wight, heading north. I watched them with a friend for 2 hours from Culver down
