    I think that is a pretty correct assessment so far - seems that way to me as well - I am just dreading having another hot summer - I mean it is great when you are off at home, but travelling to work on the trains, etc - total nightmare!!! They should make air conditioned suits! (or underwear!) Sorry - a bit off topic, but yes it does seem quite unseasonal at the mo.

    I agree Gray Wolf - I meant hype re the hot summer - I am definitely of the opinion we are globally warming to dangerous levels for the planet as a whole though - and yes it will be interesting to see re the Artic.

    Mine stopped flowering, but now it is sprouting new shoots!!! Most things in the garden are still flowering to be honest and my grass will need a cut soon! Very strange - on Monday I sat out in the conservatory with shorts and a t-shirt on sunning myself!

    Crikey - that is unbelievable! Mind you saying that, I sat out in the little conservatory thing we have on the back of the house (more like a lean to type thing) and it was lovely in the morning - I sat there in my shorts and T-SDhirt and Toby my cat sunned himself in the other chair!!!!

    That's a bit harsh. However, they did say that the mini tornado did maximum damage!!

    It's gone very dark here as well at Holborn - when it happened, Sue and I were looking out of the window as the sky was so dark and I said to her that the weather cock was not moving, there was no wind out there -then we saw the sheet of lightening and the crack of thunder, and then there was torrential rain and hail (very briefly) - that was when it happened - how bizarre for London to have a tornado.

    My hebe is in full bloom (not sure if it is supposed to be or not) and my geraniums are still flowering as well!! Leaves are off most of the trees now (thank God! as most of them end up in my drive!)

    I love Hemmy's picture - makes you actually hear the wave crashing on the rock, but I am afraid Coldfingers is the one for me - it is so tranquil and summerlike and peaceful.

    Most of the trees outside the front and back have dropped the majority of their leaves (sweeping up time constantly now!), but a few still have leaves of gold and red clinging to them.

    not sure exactly but I bought a poster (framed) and had that imported from USA (cost of picture was £125) and I had an import tax of £40 on top

    I know what you mean - so much rain and the grass is uncuttable really without hacking it up! Definitely seems to be growing longer for the time of year

    How corrupt can you get! This is what does not surprise me about the war as well which is really a 'non-required' war - war is money - money speaks volumes in their world; it's like saying "stuff the environment/peoples' health - we want our profits!"
