  8. Windy still here although the temps are still mild enough. Overcast as far as I can see (at a guess 5 maybe 6 Oktas). 2030 hours. (Apologies for not giving figures on Windspeed and temperature).
  9. Saw a few of Cb's on the 16th, although couldn't report it as my pc moniter had broken. There was no thunder or lightning though.
  10. Last Friday there was lightning here. The rain was so heavy I couldn't hear any thunder but the lightning I did see was impressive.
  11. There hasn't been any sferics picked up on detectors Will, its a shame. Did you get any pics of the storm?
  12. I think your descriping of people sheeting themselves is highly amusing. Surprised it wasn't on the news.
  13. I doubt the storms today (if there are any, and by the looks of it there will be) will be as widespread as yesterday. Could possibly be as intense as yesterdays depending on how quick convection occurs.
  14. Great photos. One hell of downpour here last night accompanied by some good lightning, can't say the thunder was impressive. Sounded as if it couldn't be bothered (long rumbling drone - like grandma complaining)
  15. Antocymro, I live only six miles down the road, well, if I'm right Yr wyddrug is the welsh for Mold. I saw the lightning strikes on the radar but heard nothing here.
  16. Thought I just heard a distant rumble but I was a jet aircraft - I forgot I was on the flight path into Liverpool Airport!
