Still nothing of significance here in Folkestone and I doubt we'll get anything now.
I've given up now Snowy Bob
-
Hi Updraft, don't hold your breath!! Where abouts are you? - I'm down in Elms Vale
Not holding mine either, bit disappointing isn't it?
-
I give up wanting snow, it's amounted to nothing here today as I'm in the clear patch that's been over Eastern Kent since yesterday evening! Even the line of precip coming down from Essex seems to have come to a grindaing halt over North Kent
-
Snap here, that wierd polystyrene snow...I can actually hear it clicking against the front door!
-
Liking the look of the band of precip over the Cherbourg Peninsula at the moment - might that be building and heading this way?
-
Light snow on and off since 2pm, given a dusting on top of what was left from New Years Day snowfall
-
Been snowing lightly here again for the last half an hour, settling on areas that had seen some thaw in the sun and of course laying on top of the remaining snow and ice we have
-
Light snow falling here now, tiny flakes but snow all the same
-
Around an hour and a half of snow here this morning giving an inch
-
Had about an inch here from the same streamer as Snow Cat but it's sunny now....so annoying as I can see the thick, dark cloud just literally a mile or two to the East of here
-
Is it not snowing in Folkestone Bob? We're only just up the road and the roofs and grass are now white
-
Snap same here Bob - there were a few flakes collected in very small amounts in corners of the garden. It's snowing lightly now though but it's melting as it contacts with concrete but laying on the grass
-
The ice and frost are so thick it almost looks like snow! -2c now
-
Lots of black ice and snow melt ice here, clear and 0c. It's a shame those showers running up the Channel at the moment can't swing a little further this way!
-
Temps look marginal at first in London but as soon as the heavier part of the band comes through it will drag down the snow level in an instant so nothing to worry about there.Front plusing down a touch now again, hopefully this just hurries up and reach my location before too much damage is done to the strength of the precip...
Would you say that'll be the case for the extreme SE too? Sorry to be a pain..
-
YEA!!! Heavy snow here now!!!! road already covered!!!!
his is going to be very good for areas to the South and East of London, thundersnow maybe? Moving ESE alright, just a narrow band though so far of the realy heavy stuff!
What temperature are you recording there at the moment? Seems a tad warm for snow here now.
I'm hoping the warm sector bit shifts away as the front pushes in so if there is any rain it'll quickly turn back to snow
-
Up to 2c now...booo!
-
Off to work in Folkestone in half an hour, will be interesting to see if they had any more down there overnight...
-
Thanks MAF, looks ok then! I'm just very disappointed as Friday morning woke to nothing and 15 miles to my West had a few inches then today I wake to find a few miles to my East has it all....I patiently await my turn
-
Nothing more here since last night either, looks like lucky Deal got the lot! So do you really think we'll get anything from the front tonight? I got the idea it might fizzle before it got here
-
Snowing here too now, only just started from the look of it as dusting on the bit by my front door where we'd trampled the earlier dusting away
-
I have cloud but no snow, wind picked up and can hear persistant rumbles to my NE/East but no lightning
-
2 lampposts within spotting distance for me though none out of the bedroom window...have to come all the way downstairs just to have a look. Worth the effort though! My neighbours already think I'm mad after seeing me popping in and out every 5 seconds in the summer looking for lightning so don't think they'll think twice about seeing me indulging in some Lamping
-
My other half is used to it now with me too! I am constantly up and down even when I know 100% it's snowing outside just to make sure it's still falling

It's stopped here but I can normally see the top of the mast in hougham from my front door way out to the east and it's disappeared again
