who said there was drought?simply stating a wet spell will do no harm to continue nutrient uptake to crops.a continued dry or very dry spell will have adverse affects on certain crops in light soil. There is no drought anywhere in the UK is there? Ground round here still moist from the last rain, and water table very high for the time of year.

0 is pretty chilly. Nothing unusual with frosts in late April but not good considering everything is late in bloom.
Does look encouraging that this cool spell is very brief. Why always a weekend though lol
It's good that the bloom is late and responding to current conditions.
no good having full blossom and a cold spell with no insect activity.

Yellow Warning of Wind17 Apr 2013, 19:00
Issued at - 17 Apr 2013, 11:35
Valid from - 17 Apr 2013, 19:00
Valid to - 18 Apr 2013, 10:00
Winds are expected to strengthen this evening, initially across Irish Sea coastal areas of northwest Wales, northwest England and the far southwest of Scotland, where gusts of 60 to 65mph are likely. This swathe of strong winds will then transfer eastwards across other parts of northern England (and perhaps the far south of Scotland) overnight and early on Thursday morning. Inland gusts of 40 to 50mph are expected widely, with 60 to 65 mph gusts possible across (and perhaps locally to the east of) high ground.
The public should be aware of the potential for some localised disruption to travel.

Surprised there's no METO warning regards the wind yet.
-
The easterly wind threat has not gone completely.
Not worth looking at come that range.

Same here got the potatoes out today went up to toolstation this morning and got a plastic sheet to cover them over until the frost risk has diminished
Gonna get some shrubs and roses out tomorrow soon catching up now the weather has finally ease somewhat and given the longer days now there is more time to get the jobs done
I may cut the lawn tomorrow its getting ready now
take a pic of your lawn tomorrow and pop it on here, amazing if it has enough growth to warrant a mowing.
nice to see though.
we have lambing fields devoid of a hint of anything resembling a blade of grass.
