That's one of the best videos for snow I think I've ever seen. Wouldn't look out of place at the great lakes. -
My weather app ( I know they are crap) has said that darlo has remained at -1 throughout the day so far. Can anyone confirm that if so could be an ice day incoming.

Very heavy snow here by far the best shower of the cold spell!! Could be a few inches getting put down by the end of the day.

Showery regimes are really strange where different parts of the same town get totally different amounts. Was really heavy here mate.

Absolute winter wonderland here in darlo if these showers continue today could have another 3-4 inches put down. The showers are beefy and slow moving. If this carries on this event could go from reasonable to pretty decent. If we'd had this from Saturday night we would be looking at 15 inches at least.

Darlington seems to be in a bit of a sweet spot atm very heavy snow here now and more on the way. Heavy showers every 10 to 15 mins hopefully.

Well I just had a nice walk to aldis in the snow to buy a whole packet of tomatoes, any excuse to get out lol. Probably three inches of snow in undisturbed areas. So not horrendous but certainly not memorable. It feels like true winter though. Watery sunshine and no dripping whatsoever. Snow feels powdery on my car as well. Looks decent for more snow today hopefully 20210210_083830.mp4

Another shower to hit soon in darlo according to the radar then maybe a little lull of a couple of hours. Looks like good shower activity for our region until about 3pm. Then will die out I think. So our showery cold spell ends today. Remain cold until Friday though i think.

Radar looks crap for the south of the region now. Nothing for a couple of hours at least. Tonight could be another bust me thinks

This is a good shower but makes me think what it must be like in Dundee or Northumberland their showers are 4 times the size of ours.

To be honest mate that pic sums everything up really, look at the beefy showers dropping copious amounts of snow into the borders then compare that to the thin gruel we in the rest of the NE have had to put up with.

Must say I'm very disappointed with today's scant pickings in darlo. One great shower at 7.30 and mostly piddling dross after that. Now I'm not saying this easterly has failed because nationwide it hasn't. Scotland the SE, Yorkshire hell even Northumberland, have all done very well but everything that could have gone badly for us did. We have 3 days left of this easterly and let's be honest, who amongst us is expecting anything but dross at this stage?

Can't say that I'm not a little disappointed in the shower activity in darlo so far today. Apart from our great one this morning about 7.30am there has really been nothing of note. Roofs are all pretty much snowless now but the roads and pavements still well covered. Here's hoping for an uptick in activity soon.

Those showers going into North Northumberland look awesome so beefy they are almost one huge streamer. Must be absolutely getting pasted up there.

As soon as the showers hit the wind doesn't half pick up. Snowing now in darlo could be a decent one.

You could be right about hartlepool but I still think there is a chance for teesside there maybe even darlo. Wherever it hits could drop a couple of cm's. It looks angry!!
