  1. 23ºC and 69% humidity. Nice and cool in my office though. :BIG:
  2. Currently 21ºC in Cheshire, but 78%!!!! HUMIDITY!!!! AWFUL!!!!
  3. Thanks Highcliffe. Well Supercell...I don't care if the temperature hits the record anymore coz my super duper wonderful air conditioning unit has arrived!!! I will live at work if necessary. And my temp inside? Getting cooler by the minute :-) :-)
  4. 82? lol...you had me wondering there...Ste, why don't your parents house that boiler in? That way some of the heat would be retained within it if they insulated it right. I would camp outside if that was me
  5. 26ºC in Northwich, and boy does it feel it!!! Absolutely roasting, sun belting down, bright clear blue sky
  6. Morning chaps and chapesses, currently 23 in Cheshire and rising, humidity at 61%!!!!!
  7. dropped won to 26ºC here according to uk.weather.co.uk, but actuially stillfeels quite a bit warmer than that. Office still really stuffy too./ Boohioo
  8. good thinking Rob! But be careful or by the time they have posted it to you, this heat wave could be over whereas if you get one the other ways you could have it tomorrow in time for the heat wave
  9. Rob, Just to let you know that I do sympathise with you. My other half worked for Tesco's, Night Shift for over a year, and he had the same trouble as you last summer, couldn't sleep. You could hire an air con unit, but I managed to get us on for just over £300 including VAT, to hire they are roughly £90 odd a week with a minimum hire period of 4 - 8 weeks. B&Q sell them, but I have been on their web site and as you would expect, they are all completly out of stock. :x Anyway, hope you manage to get some kip. :changes: I know night shift is no fun at the best of times. :-)
  10. Currently 27ºC here in Northwich. It's clouding over and getting very very muggy. BUT.... YIPPEEEE, I AM GETTING AN AIR CONDITIONING UNIT FOR MY OFFICE!!!!! :multi: SO I'M NOT GOING TO BE SO UNBELIEVABLY HOT ANYMORE...COMING TOMORROW HOPEFULLY! :multi: :multi: :multi: :multi:
  11. I think I may take up residence on the sofa tonight too, too hot upstairs!!! Currently 26ºC here and climbing rapidly
  12. I would love some time off work, alas, it would be unpaid, and what with having to pay a mortage etc etc...not really an option :-(
  13. Supercell, what you have to realise is that this heat is all fine and good, when, like yourself, you are free to do what you please all day as you are off school. Please take into consideration that you are able to go outside for fresh air, which makes a huge big difference and you can open up the window in your bedroom, or pull your curtains to shut the sun out. Please also remember, that as I have said, unlike you, I am stuck in a very hot office with only one tiny pane of glass that opens, and NO AIR CONDITIONING!!!! Therefore, please believe me when I tell you that the temp in my office usually far exceeds what is outside in the shade!
  14. Trust me Supercell, you wouldn't be laughing if you were stuck in this office!!! :x Hot weather is far more bearable if you are off school and able to chill out outside/in the shade/etc etc...but stuck in an office all day with hardly any air flow...no air conditioning and the sun beaming in all day through a huge big window, with only a tiny naffing pane that opens to let air in!!! And as for 20ºC being great sleeping conditions, well that's personal opinion isn't it? I had to leave my fan on all night last night just to try and get some sort of cooler. :x :x  :bad-words:
  15. Really hot last night, and already 23ºC at 9.30am. Way too hot for me. No air conditioning in my office and one tiny little useless window!!! :x :x :x Can't see me hanging round too long today if this heat keeps up!!! I know there are rules about temperatures in the workplace, and this office has the sun glaring in it all day. Oven doesn't even come close to descibing it!!! :x :x :x
  16. 33ºC in Oldham, in the shade. My other half is currently working there. I'm not that far away, so can't be far off here. Northwich is pretty damn roasting I can tell you. :microwave: :multi: :onfire:
  17. 28ºC currently in Northwich. Well, you all know my feelings on this temperature!
  18. Currently 21ºC at 10.30am and climbing. Humidity at 60% :onfire:
  19. No, not even a single clap. it's not the right conditions here in Northwich for thunder. It's usually quite clammy here when we are in for some storm activity, but it's quite fresh and cool.
  20. Well it's eased off a bit here in Cheshire, but it has been pretty torrential for most of the day. Looks like we are in for some more though. :?
  21. Much much cooler today, we've had a thunderstorm this morning with cloud to cloud lightning, but no cloud to ground lightning. It has cleared the air a bit, and I am much happier for the cooler conditions. :B-fly: :B-fly:
  22. It is now 31ºC here and still climbing, it's 4.30pm for heavens sake...when is this heat going to start dropping?
  23. I wish we'd get thunder in Cheshire, it's so stuffy, a good storm would clear the air. However, the weather forecast said that by the time they get up to us from down South, they will have frittered away into nothing.
