    Think I was a bit quick to post earlier, you are right looking at the radar we will get something, most likely a dusting although an inch would be nice, hey ho we can dream

    Agreed its looking pretty dire for us, but good to see the rest of the region getting in on the action, going off the met predictions we could see an inch here, which to be fair is a good result.

    I think you might be confused, meteorology is the study of atmospheric sciences, something you clearly have no experience in, you should join the met office weather warning team

    Light snow started just south of Guildford 1/10 at the moment, should hopefully start to pick up soon.

    I take the blame fully, This is why I never normally tell people it going to snow, who would have thought that frontal snowfall would skip over our area.

    Managed 29cm here just shy of a foot, I remember being stunned we all thought that wasn’t possible in the south in the m0der n winter

    Don’t encourage them, i really wouldn’t be surprised if next time we get a heat wave they are talking of heat bombs and thunder bombs Still no snow here just yet but keeping the faith despite euro 4 and others showing my area largely misses out, my location is Guildford for those on your phones.

    Hopefully today is just the starter, main course is due Thursday! Good to see many of us have done well this event, imby it’s been to wet for accumulations but some have done very well. I posted a pic last night of the snow in the Scottish Borders from last years beast, it looks amazing but the novelty soon wears off, be careful what you wish for.

    I do believe that is how regional boards where set up originally back when you had to register to read them, I think it’s a non issue if you get the right set up both regions tend to do well

    Another 50-100 miles further south and you can guarantee no where in the south east will have bread or milk for sale, that’s if there any left after tomorrow’s event Edit: this is my first post in the SE thread for a couple of years, this is a pic of the beast from the Scottish borders last winter, I hope we get to see similar In the snow starved south this winter.

    Well over a foot now an Lauder caught more showers than gala! Tomorrow was always the day forecast to deliver the most for us, hopefully just a wobble but starting to look like the trough might not be over us
