  1. Here's hoping! Aaron, judging by the pictures, you win mate!
  2. Judging by the latest meto radar it looks to be pepping up again, unless I'm mistaken! Good grief, amazing pics there Daz!
  3. So very fine here, dandruff-styley, fingers crossed we get at least a shower now!! Edited to add: nope, stopped!
  4. Yes to snow in Congleton, so I'm informed Well would you Adam and Eve it, it's snowing very very very finely...
  5. *still doing her snow-dance to the God of all things snowy* Lol watching the radar it's just stuck to our North!! If I could reach out the window and pull it over this way, I would!
  6. Max daytime temps are now forecast to be -2c for the rest of the week... We'll be praying for a bit of mild weather soon.. I dread to think what the heating bill is going to be like!
  7. LOL couldn't have put it better myself Looking a little darker here but it looks like it's going to rain!
  8. Well after studying the radar, that precip just doesn't want to come down, and any that does try just dissipates so I shall get my head into some work (I work from home) and resign myself to the fact that it just might not happen. I am so very thrilled to read that the NW have had a great snow event. Look after the older ones around you though won't you. Louise
  9. If it could stall right over my head that would be great
  10. Well if any is on its way here it better hurry up as we're in full-on melt-mode, the dusting that fell this morning has halved in size!
  11. It's pure torture reading this thread. :o Not even half a centimetre here and not even feeling that cold although temp is currently 0c. Yet my parents just by Mcr Airport keep sending me text messages with images attached of the pasting they have got so far! So glad for everyone else though, but I have to admit I'm just a tad envious...
  12. Glad I'm not doing a Manchester commute this morning Well blinkin flip, the snowshield has been penetrated! Moderate snow falling in Nantwich. Just before the school run.. it could have waited an hour, lol!!
  13. Oh oh, it's snowing lightly, maybe there's hope for us after all. Hey Carol Kirkwood actually mentioned the North of England.. things must be bad
  14. Oh how I love the Nantwich snowshield... I thought we'd had a dusting but it's just frost, lol!!!
  15. OMG I don't believe it... all those showers coming through and we have a tiny dusting, you have to laugh!! We're right in the middle, between the one over N Wales and the one over S Manchester. Typical!! At least the school run won't be too bad this morning! Great to see us North Westeners getting some decent snow, enjoy it guys!
  16. Beautiful day here today, temp in Nantwich not got above -0.5 and at our office out in the sticks at Bridgemere it's been -1.5. Just caught the BBC news, the grit situation is getting a little concerning, and watching the weather reports they're very confident it's going to last for at least another 7-10 days. Watching the graphics with Diane on BBC NW news, we might actually see some snow here tomorrow.
  17. Morning all  Icy start out there this morning with a small covering of snow on the pavement from yesterday but it rained lightly for most of the afternoon so it's like an ice rink out there at the moment. Current temp is -4, with a dp of -6. Getting colder this last hour. Louise Mcr Airport
  18. Good morning C.S. Yes I'm hoping we might just see a little snow when we go back home later. Fingers crossed for Cheshire Just looked at keepmoving, up the M62, blimey they've got it bad up there
  19. And the next shower is... rain Louise Mcr Airport Edited to add: slowly turning back to sleet
  20. Hmmm... temp 0deg, dp 0deg. Will be interesting to see if the next shower is a sleet/rain one now. We have a nice covering though Louise Mcr Airport
  21. Ah what a shame, it looks like the main band is just a little too far east to hit us at the moment. The earlier shower left a nice covering though. Current temp -1, dp -2.
  22. Yup, exactly the same here at Mcr Airport. Travelling home to Nantwich later though and I suspect the snowshield will hold firm
  23. Starting to go very dark here by Mcr Airport, the sky is full of snow, and I've just seen the first flakes falling as I type. By the looks of the radar the front of this band of showers is just starting to hit us. It'll be interesting to see how much snow we get from it or whether it turns to rain.. bbc said rain last night/this morning.
  24. It's one day out of a fairly prolonged cold spell ahead... sit back and enjoy the fact that it's New Years Day! Current temps here at Mcr Airport, -0.7 with a dp of -2. I don't think we're due anything much today so whatever we do get is a bonus, showers moving into our area tomorrow morning so looking forward to that. Louise
