Don't know if you heard,a guy at the race course was hit by lightning saturday
Hi Pat, no I didn't know. Hope he is okay. I seen one flash of lightning on Saturday heard no thunder due to the strong winds as the squall line passed through.Also had kids running around me, so it was all rather noisy Lol.
No forecasts out for today from the dedicated storm sites, GFS still going for some potential in the SW, right over Jane Louise as it goes!!!
Oh wow! but I'm not going to jinx it Coast lol

Time for a new thread for hopefully a good year ahead! Quite bizarre this winter to have so many storms for some. Anyway here's to a great year of plentiful storms for everyone.

The squall line passed through here a couple of hours ago. Due to babysitting and kids making a noise I managed to see one flash of lightning lol. I couldn't tell thunder from the wind to be honest.The wind has collapsed my plastic greenhouse which almost flew into the field. The rain was torrential. It was pretty cool but didn't get to see much.Still blowing a gale out there now.

Jane. I think we need to simply just forget about storms. I don't think ive had a decent one around here now for a good 3 to 4 years.
Had one or two cracks of thunder and thats it. Ive had to travel to find them.
Gone are the days of big MCS's moving up from the south, getting stuck in the valley and hanging around for hours.
It just doesn't happen anymore.
Its been essentially a bit breezy from time to time and mostly moist with some nice clear crisp days.
Dunno what all the fuss is about everywhere else
We just get the wind and rain or the remnants of everybody elses thunderstorms Lol I guess we are used to this now grrrrrr

I still haven't got lucky yet! but the rest of those the South West has this Winter. Unbelievable Lol -
Just heavy rain here this morning. Cheltenham has missed out again on the storms. Lots of flooding up here and strong winds. The SW has done very well and by the sounds of the storms the lightning has been much more powerful then the lightning in the summer. I'm a bit hesitant that I'll get any storms in the Summer as they always tend to go around Chelt and wander off towards the East Lol. Good reports coming in though.

How lucky most of you are getting storms today and this evening. Ive been knocked off my broadband not by storms but the wind out there. Nothing at all has happened here again but this is not unusual. Lol

It's weatherpro paid version but I also paid the £3.99 yearly subscription for all the radars etc .. It was worth it for me, I've found it to be the most accurate weather app after trying dozens of them.
Forgot to mention, as I purchased a Netatmo station, it also integrates my data with it too.
Thanks for that.
I will take a look at it later. I have a new tablet now and have been browsing all weather apps and by the sounds of this one it seems very good.-

Just been across the fields and the cloudscapes are great. Three beautiful anvils in every direction and one produced a moderate icy downpour of rain.

Just had an intense downpour of hail . The sky was almost black. No thunder and lightning though.
