Coming down heavy now with big flakes, probably about 2cm on the ground now!

WOW Big proper flakes now! Whoooooooo!!! got a cm on the ground/cars etc which is now being added too!

Hmm flakes are getting quite small now and glittery! please dont say thats it for us!!

About 1cm now in Wimborne, East Dorset. Surely you must be getting some in Bournemouth??

Wow just looked out of the window here in East Dorset and the Roads and pavements are going white despite the flakes arent as big as last week yet!

Its blowing around like mad in the wind! - it keeps changing from medium to biggish flakes! hopefully it will turn to even better snow and start settling eventually!

Moderate to heavy at times snow here now in East Dorset only just changed though from a rainy/sleety mix to snow!

We're the ones who have had too much in Dorset! - We've had 1 inch out of this whole winter event and that 1 inch was just far too much for us, it was just getting out of control with snow depths so deep! :yahoo: Looks like the heavy band is heading off into France!! thats that over with then! - another non event no doubt for Dorset! - Is there a record amount of non snow events at all? Dorset should win!

Heavy something here in East Dorset but cant make out weather its rain or snow because the wind is blowing it past the lampost so fast! If its rain then surely it would be making a noise when it hits surfaces! but its silent! ah i duno!

Flakes definately starting to fall here in East Dorset

Metoffice article yesterday quotes ' The snow is likely to turn to rain across much of Cornwall and on the southern coasts of south-west England and South Wales on Tuesday evening.' I thought the rain was ment to turn to snow Tuesday Evening and then possibly back to rain on Wednesday? well thats what the NetW article states anyway!

Lucky you!! you certainly can't complain if you don't see any snow then tomorrow - Us Dorsetiers have seen no more than 1 inch this winter!

Not good news! getting a bit annoying now all this cold weather. Well with the ice etc anyway. Wouldnt mind if it was really cold but clear skies everyday! B)

Simon Parkin on ITV just said Snow arriving in Dorset from late afternoon onwards! He said a good few inches!

It still says 60% for Dorset. The 80% is for Devon and Somerset unfortunately!

Im confused! the metoffice has just issued a new warning for heavy snow for us today for 1 Hour! Whats this all about

Dont worry Cornwall and Devon - Uncle Dorset will do it's best to pinch all the rain so you get snow! With there being a chance of rain involved - Dorset will no doubt get this! dont meen to be so negative but its what usualy happens here! We either get no snow at all or we get the rain !

Really? we've had light sleet here in East Dorset all morning! Excellent! Dorset still only 60% lol! - Dorset will most probs be removed and be a non event later! - im certainly not getting any hopes up for snow anymore after the large amount of non events for us Dorset people!

Good idea, think we might need that service by the end of the week! People who have had 4 inches or more of snow and still moan if they're not going to get anymore are greedy and taking the pee!!! I expect the snow will fall to all the Dorset borders in the west, North and East of the county and we'll remain dry as per normal!! Tuesday/Weds will be a non event for us in Dorset, this is just going by the fact that although we've had a whopping 1 inch, they've all been non events over the last couple of weeks!
