    I agree! Dorset seems to be the only county with its own climate! - its shocking! - Im not taking a blind bit of notice of the MetO warning for snow Tuesday/Weds because no doubt it will be a non event yet again!, well for Dorset anyway! - Getting used to these non events now that we've had so many!

    It moderately to heavily sleeted in East Dorset last night about 1.30am-2am when walking home from the pub! Just the odd little flake falling here now. Another non event!! <_<

    Going to sound stupid now but i have just subscribed to the netweather radar but can't find it? anyone know where i can find it so i can start using it!! ? cheers

    I think there will just be a lot of radar watching over tonight and tomorrow to be able to see whats really going to be happening - nowcasting!

    Not quite sure where your seeing rain on the graphics?? Ive typed in both Wimborne and Bournemouth on their and it shows just snow and no rain at all?? Ah do you meen on the chart which you slide along? I was thinking the 5 day forecast because this shows snow.

    Wow, just had a 15min heavy snow shower here in East Dorset, big flakes and settled nicely on the roads, grass etc giving a new dusting! -2c here. Wasnt expecting that tonight!

    All car manufacturers should build mini gritting machines somewhere under the car for cold spells like this. They wouldn't get used too often but would help a lot! especially off of main roads. At the press of a button, a good spread of sand/salt etc sprays out! - If most cars could do that then would help a lot - Just an idea :lol:

    Ah thought so! - Seemed a bit strange! - Thanks (Just checked and yes its the GFS 12z!) No thaw today on areas away from main roads - Been a nice sunny winters day and to have lying snow on the ground at the same time makes it a whole lot nicer! - Fingers crossed for Sunday but won't get my hopes up until Saturday night after Tuesdays Forecast going wrong for us!

    How long is this cold spell suposed to last in the South? Only reason i ask is because some sites have just updated and give us temps of 9-10c by wednesday next week and S or SW winds?? - Some have said its going to continue for another fortnight but having seen the latest forecasts its only going to last until early next week??

    Probably just best we contain our excitement this time and don't expect anything much then you never know, it could suprise us nicely! who knows!

    As much as i love snow, the TV news reports, stories etc is getting way over the top now!! - Yes it's snowed! (Well hardly if u live in Dorset!) but still! - They are rubbing it in our faces down here! - Next time the sun shines im going to contact ITV, BBC etc with my story :unsure:

    Been snowing for last 20-30 mins in wimborne but only very small flakes and blowing horizontaly !! there isn't even anything on the radar over us though <_< Got a new dusting on the cars etc!

    Yea!, we pretty much have our own little climate in this little part of the UK/World!! - I dont think i will be listening to or trusting any forecasts though for the weekend after yesterday and last nights performance!!. I will just wait until the day and watch the radar is the best thing i think!! :unsure:

    Still snowing lightly in Dorset but unfortunately the snow which was about to hit very soon is fizzling out!! - will have to make the most of what is on the ground!

    Light/Moderate snow here in East Dorset now giving a top up to earlier snow. Looks like another batch of snow heading down to us which will be good!

    You sounded a bit puzzled as to why it wasn't still pep on the radar and it wasn't still snowing until 4pm when the metoffice have said 4pm on their warning! Never mind! :blink: RainToday radar is looking better for us than the MetO radar! lets hope the raintoday one is correct

    Yep i noticed this line not long ago and if keeps on track it looks like heading straight for Dorset! Fingers Crossed!

    That doesnt meen that the snow was ment to suddenly stop when the clock changed from 3.59pm to 4pm LOL! Its just a time frame that the snow is ment to fall within!! Starting to snow lightly here again in East Dorset. The Pep approaching from the NE looks interesting

    Really?? That would be great. Would that be coming from the second band which is behind the one giving us our heavy snow now?

    Nice, narrows it down to East dorset being the only place then but fingers cross that all this precip heading down now brings us something good!

    I was hoping my negativity would bring some snow so i could prove me wrong which could happen as there is loads of precip heading right for Dorset now and its starting to sleet here now
