Woke up to a nice surprise dusting this morning, no depth to it but everywhere is sugar coated. Like Essan, that keeps the consecutive days snow run intact. :o The BBC forecast for tomorrow night looks interesting... -

Well watching the NW Radar the leading edge of the band is approaching Hereford and not far from my location in WR9, so I agree with the earlier comment - it isn't stalling! However unless something happens when it arrives I'm not sure I'm going to see much snow probably more sleet as the temp is hovering around 1c here and dewpoint the wrong side of 0c. I'd say 80% of last nights snow has melted here certainly on the hard surfaces although it does remain on the grass. Good to see GP posting in the thread - any thoughts of what we will get here in Worcs? Re. Exeter you are right NorthantsSnow you can clearly see the bright echoes in that location and the precip type is pink and green - wonder what's going on down there?! -

It's a lot more like it here now! Took it's time but coming down very nicely Beginnings of a decent covering on the roads and cars... Well done Isaac - patience is a virtue for which you have been rewarded! -

Bit more like it here - seems more organised and heavier It stopped for about half an hour but just started again. According to the NW Radar this had passed over me so I think when it's showing as being overhead it's really about 30 minutes behind! -

It has arrived - finally! Not much so far but flakes blowing in the slight breeze. I think it has slowed up - I've been watching the radar for ages and it was over my location but nothing doing outside - maybe it's that weird effect The Enforcer mentioned in his post a while back? -

Thanks for doing that direct link to the pics NorthantsSnow - I couldn't get it to go directly to them. Anyway - still nothing under the lampost here though the NW Radar shows it is sooo close so shouldn't be long now Still have the remnants of last nights 1 hour spectacular lying on grass and pavements so should give whatever does fall a good base... -

Morning all! Well all looking on track so far - any Herefordshire members in? - the radar shows ppn looking a bit furtive round there! Won't be too long until it arrives in my location - temps and dewpoints still holding good here. Anyone worried about the quality of the snow just needs to check out Slink1989's photos from Swindon in the Cymru & SW England thread post #391 this link will get you most of the way Slinkys Pics Good to see Andy about- do you predict a Fryatt for the Midlands then Andy? -

And with that it has stopped! Well that was great, a really nice surprise and interesting to see the accumulation in ony 1 hour of it snowing. If this sticks around until 6am+ then it will be fun getting to work! The radar still shows similar showers to this coming up from the S, SW but difficult to say whether they will hit our patch though - they seem to be tracking NE but judging by the last hour who knows eh?! Hitting the sack now - hopefully like CB says this isn't in exchange for Thursdays snow - keep your eyes on the Model thread and take heed of the knowledgable chaps on there GP, TEITS, Nick Sussex to name but a few, oh yeah and Andy in Leics he comes to the fore when we have a chance in the Midlands! -

Hi Adrian This is the best it's been here for the last two days - everything is covered in about an inch of snow at least :o :o Hmm your drive might take longer than you thought an hour ago, that's for sure! I've got to get the train to central Brum tomorrow for work and that's going to be interesting too. Judging by the radar Brum is getting a pasting on top of what was there on Monday. I should really be in bed asleep but this is too good! Still coming down by the way... -

How's it looking in Redditch Loopy? Some areas are quite high above sea level Headless Cross for example. It's hoofing it down here - cursory glance reckons I've got about an inch from this - Bigger flakes falling now about 20p size. Just going out to have a closer look; I maybe some time... -

Got one eye on the radar and one on the lampost here! (put in WR9 if you have the NW radar) I've been watching this move slowly northwards towards me - it's painful - will it, won't it. Come on please give me a dusting that's all I ask! Sky looking a bright now... -

That flurry passed through my neck of the woods Blizzards - lasted about 30 minutes and gave a nice surprise dusting! I just got home from work at the time and my car temp said 0.5C. All the roads round here are now nicely dusted after being dried by the sun today (what little we had yesterday was mainly killed by sleet last night, boo!). Just got the radar up and running to see what else might come our way... Looking ahead to Thursday, that would be amazing for us Midlanders if it came off! -

Another flurry has just started here - settling nicely on the day's previous accumulation especially on the grass. Hopefully this will form a good "base layer" for tomorrow's snow -

Have a look at this - hope the Mods don't mind me posting a NW Radar image - gives an in idea of whats happening and where. (WR9 is my location in case you hadn't guessed!) -

Sky is now a solid grey colour here - decent amount falling and being blown all over the place by the E wind - I think it is just starting to settle... -

Light flurry started about 14:00 on and off. As I type "10p" size flakes falling :winky: Loads more on the radar heading this way - here we go!
