  1. For those who have not seen the Country File forecast, you can now thanks to Iverweather over on TWO who has posted it to YouTube! Look at Weds, Thursday and Friday for us in the Midlands! <_< CF Forecast 01/02/09
  2. That Country File forecast was something else - looks good for us Midlanders on Thursday too with a front stalled over us giving us even more! Wrt what Andy said here is a good satellite loop to have a look at: clicky Currently sunny here but clouds whizzing along on the easterly wind -won't be long until I see a flurry I reckon
  3. Still like stair-rods here has been like it ALL DAY <_< Helicopters being called in to rescue people in Worcestershire... Just spoke to a colleague he is stuck in Worcester trying to get to Pershore having come back from Birmingham - nice 17 hours plus day for him! Lots of photos here: BBC Hereford & Worcester In the words of Alan Partridge "Unbe-bloody-lievable"
  4. Gradually slowing down now here, turned into a more sleety mix with the odd big flake Started snowing at 10am and been snowing all day. Around midday it was not settling on the road then huge 50p size flakes came down then more smaller but more concentrated snow fell for approx 2 hours which began to settle even on the wet roads. By 3pm absolute bedlam on the roads - took nearly ten minutes to reel off all the roads affected on BBC Hereford and Worcester radio. Hereford has been hit bad especially the rural areas and now Worcs with people leaving work early as offices closed adding to the problems. Malvern is littered with abandoned cars apparently... Must admit I never thought we'd get a pasting two days in a row! Enjoy it as the band moves ever northwards!
  5. Still going strong here! Slowed down a few minutes ago but the wind has picked up again and it's coming down more quickly albeit smaller flakes. Did some measuring and I have 2" right by the back door but more on the grass and it has drifted onto the side of the conservatory and is approaching a foot there Bloke on radio 5 Live saying heaviest snow in Worcester since 1982 - he just measured 10.2cm near the Cathedral. Roads into Worcester city centre are in a right state, lots of A roads in Hereford and Worcester are now "unpassable".
  6. I concur with that Blizzards! Good to see Louise Lear on BBC Breakfast in Worcester too! Went to bed at 2am with nothing, woke up at 5am quick twitch of the curtains revealed snow then up at 7.30am to PROPER snow Had smaller flakes blowing horizontally in the wind then last 10 mins the bigger flakes arrived again coupled with this wind we have a near whiteout as I type this! Mcelwee doing Midlands weather this morning saying it is going to last until midday at least in my area undoubtedly longer further north! Best since Feb 1996 for depth for me!
  7. Yes just seen it tom - looks like the Warning Triangle is right over us! love-it keep twitching those curtains in Hereford!
  8. Hi love-it and Blizzards! Good to know there some others local to me on here. There used to be another guy from Upton on Severn but I can't remember his name! love-it keep your eyes peeled as you rightly say you will be hit first! Snowdrift if it is as bad (or good!) as they forecast then I suspect the Malverns will be packed with sledgers! Are you sure you can't get there?! The NW 5min radar shows pink blobs over me at the moment but lamppost watch has proved negative..going to be a long night....
  9. What are you doing down there forestpagan - you should have stayed in Hagley!! Saw the Midlands Today forecast with Shef and it was a site to behold! I'm hoping that Paul (Site Development) will give us the heads up when he gets snow as he's not far from me! Any other Worcs posters around here? What happened to CloudBurst!?
  10. Shadowdragon you made me jealous - but just went outside for some "fresh air" and I was greeted by small flakes fluttering down! Not sure how long it's going to last but first snow of Winter for me!
  11. Thanks for doing these Enforcer, really helps me understand what the fax is showing! I look forward to the next installment!
