    Looks like a large shower forming over the Isle of Man is about to hit the Ards Peninsula - it's producing sleet on the Isle of Man, so looks like something wintry is about to hit the coast?

    Light rainy sleet in Belfast - I wasn't expecting any snow really so I'm not too disappointed! Roll on the next cold spell

    I am prepared for a disappointment tonight to be honest - especially given the milder feel to the air

    sleet here at the moment - feels milder than last night - the thaw has now sped up markedly

    Always the way - when it's forecast, it doesn't happen, when it isn't forecast it does happen!

    I can see some dark clouds approaching from the Irish Sea now - ties in with the 16:30 radar image

    It's a blessing and a curse living by the sea in these streamer events - we can get potentially huge dumpings of snow, but it can melt so quickly

    Snow grains here as well - very light - we are just on the northern extent of the Irish Sea convection train !

    Another little streamer just depositing a load of graupel here now!

    About an inch of snow here - it was thawing as soon as it started to settle but the sheer intensity saw the level soon build up! It's still on the ground now with just a slow thaw in progress. Can't complain at all - 5 hours of continuous graupel/snow
