  1. A much nicer start to the day than I expected here in Longlevens, even managed to get a wash done and out on the line before starting work. It does feel a lot more fresher though than the last couple of days, even in the sunshine.
  2. Just about managed to get home at 8.20pm after 5 aside football this week without turning on the car lights, aided by the clear evening. I suspect next week the lights will have to come on and this will mark the end of high summer in my mind - although to be fair the last week to 10 days has already felt like late summer/early autumn around here. I dont mind the later sun rises but it still feels too early for the earlier sunsets, If I were in charge we would definitely be on GMT +2 in summer and GMT +1 in winter
  3. Early rain, has given way to a very humid grey old day. Hints of brightness out there but I'm not sure there will be much sun, if any, before round 2 of the rain commences again. Hoping for a decent weekend though for a change...
  4. Not a bad day so far, had a little bank of cloud rolled in for about an hour around 9ish but sun came back and its pleasantly warm if a little gusty at times
  5. we cant seem to get more than 1 day in a row without rain, total carp summer...
  6. The good news is the sun has broken through and quite rapidly so in the end
  7. No I am at home in Longlevens today, Bradley Stoke is where I go when I have to go into the office.
  8. Started with a classic foggy November morning which has lifted into a grey cloudy drab morning, big sigh...
  9. Got out of bed and dressed in Shorts and t-shirt in anticipation of the nicer weather arriving - opened the curtains and it was foggy...proper November morning! Even now it has only lifted to grey cloud and no sign of any sunshine...
  10. Peeing down in Bradley Stoke again this morning, grey and uninspiring... On the subject of flying ants, the only ones I have seen so far this year was last saturday in Halifax and it was more a flurry than a swarm haha
  11. Intermittent showers and a strong blustery wind but to be fair I expected it to be wetter than it has this morning/early afternoon
  12. Just as grey a start in Bristol as it is in Gloucester today. Im sure by lunchtime though the cloud will have hopefully burned back
  13. I've gone with OK... March was cold, very wet and no snow just pure depressing and it damaged alot of the plants in the garden. April was just very meh! May has been a touch chilly in the evenings but has had a bit of sunshine and the dryness has meant it has been very usable weather during the day...but defo noticed the chilliness in the evenings when camping... A spring which probably wont really linger long in the memory banks, we have had worse and we have had better, best to just move on and forget and hopefully we can get a half decent summer to follow.
  14. very grey and drizzly this morning, back to spring conditions
  15. Much the same here but without the breeze, definitely t-shirt and shorts weather
  16. 21C here in Gloucester and a very pleasant lunch break sat in the garden in t-shirt and shorts.
  17. The BBC does like to exaggerate the sunshine amounts - grey and cloudy again this morning, met office were more on the money...
